教学目标
1.能够熟练使用常见形容词的比较形式longer,taller等的比较级,并能够用than进行比较。
2.能够听说认读单词:countryside,lower,shadow,smarter, become。
3.能够熟练应用形容词的比较级形式,流利的朗诵,复述,表演故事。
4.通过本节课的学习,提高英语听说能力和阅读技巧。

教学过程
一、热身导入
(1) 唱《my small cat 》
(2) Revision
1.教师拿出一个气球,让一名学生吹大,这时候说:Make it bigger, bigger, bigger.然后放气说:Smaller, smaller, smaller.
2.教师拿出一段皮筋,拉长说: Longer,longer,longer.接着慢慢放松,说:shorter,shorter,shorter.然后板书这几个单词。
二、任务呈现
1.教师播放PPT蓝天,白云说:Spring is coming!the sky is clearer and the sun is brighter. Can you think of any other changes? Let’s look and tick. 完成书本上四幅图的练习。师生共同完成。
三、课文学习
PPT展示一张乡村的图片T说:it’s a picture of countryside. I think it’s beautiful. OK, follow me, countryside. (领读新单词countryside,导入今天的话题)
1. T: Wu Yifan and his family are going on a trip to the countryside. Wu has a story to tell robin. Now let’s read the story quickly and circle the words you don’t know. 小组合作,提出问题,教师PPT解答并且领读新单词lower,shadow, smarter, become。
2.The second reading (细读)。
Read the story again and answer the questions.
(1) Choose a title for the story.
A. little duck’s shadow B. old tree’s shadow
(2) who is younger?
A. the tree B. the duck
(3)When is the duck’s shadow longer?
A. in the morning B. in the afternoon
3. The third reading
Read the story again and finish the dialogue.
4. The fourth reading,
Work in groups and solve the difficulties. (小组合作交流,共同解决)

5. The fifth reading
Listen to the tape and follow it. ( 听录音,跟读)
四、训练巩固
1、Complete the passage and try to retell the story.(完成填空,复述故事)
Little duck is watching the sun down. It’s getting and ,but his shadow is getting and .
“Why is that?” little duck asks his friend old tree. “You are and than me. Tell me why my shadow is when the sun gets lower?” Old tree says, “That’s easy, little duck . The sun goes down every day, and we grow every day. Your shadow grows because you are growing . You are becoming a beautiful bird.”
