《新标准英语》Module 5 Decisions Unit 2教学设计
Module 5 Decisions
     Unit 2 It’s too big for you.

教学目标:
知识目标:
学习单词:easy,hard,light,heavy,small,big等形容词。
学习句型:It’s too big for you.
能力目标:
能熟练的运用easy,hard,light,heavy,small,big等形容词描述物体的特征。
能口头运用:It’s too big for you.这类语句表达自己的看法,并学会用简单的英语来购物。
情感目标:
让学生增强团队合作意识,培养学生勤于观察和思考、并勇于发言的良好习惯,激发学生学习英语的热情和兴趣。
教学重点、难点:
能熟练的运用:easy,hard,light,heavy,small,big等形容词描述物体的特征。
能熟练地运用:It’s too big for you. Try this one in white.这类语句表达自己的看法。
教学教具:
点读笔、教学课件、单词卡片、帽子图片、超市购物卡、彩色盒子、彩色转盘、哑铃、瓶子、帽子、足球、眼镜。

教学程序:一、Warm-up     1、Greetings.     2、Free talk:
(1)、T: What colour do you like?  (Show the boxes)   
Ss: I like…(Divide them into four groups and give them the shopping cards.)
(2)、T: I like apples. What`s your favourite fruit? (Show the PPT)   
Ss: I like…  
3、Sing a song:“Apple Tree”.
二、Presentation
1、T: Now I`m going to show you some things. Look, what’s this? (Show a small/big football.)
Ss: ….(Talk about the footballs together: small, big...)
2、T: Can you play football?
Ss: …(It’s hard/easy for…)
3、Next, show the glasses and talk about them. (It’s big/small...  It’s big/small for...)
  4、T: What’s next? Oh, it’s heavy. Who can help me?
Ss:…
(Show a dumbbell and a bottle, and talk about them: It’s heavy/light...   It’s heavy/light/easy/hard for...)

三、New teaching
1、Learn Activity 2
Show a turntable and read the words together: easy, hard, heavy, light, big, small.
(1)、T:Today we are going to learn Module 5 Unit 2. please
look at these pictures, and listen for the words:“easy, hard, heavy, light, big, small”, then find them out.
(2)、Check the answer and repeat the sentences. (It’s easy/
hard/heavy/light/big/small for…)
(3)、Then do some exercises: It’s too... for...
2、Learn Activity 1
(1)、T: Lingling and Ms Smart went to the Department Store and bought something last time. What did Lingling buy?
Ss: ... (Show the PPT: A bag)
T: That’s right. Today Lingling is going to go shopping, too.
And what does she wants to buy? Now please listen and find out the answer:“What does Lingling want to buy?”
(2)、Listen again and answer these questions:
①、What’s on the T-shirt?
②、Does Lingling buy the blue T-shirt? Why?
③、What colour does Lingling buy at last?
(3)、Check the answer and learn the text together.
(4)、Listen and repeat, and then read the text, and ask the Ss
to do the role-plays in their group.
四、Production
T: Now it’s time for shopping. Have you got enough shopping cards for shopping? It’s too hot, so let’s go to the supermarket and buy a cap/hat.
(Ask the Ss to hand out the shopping cards for everyone, and then ask them to use the cards to buy some caps/hats in the supermarket. Ask some Ss to be the sellers. Ask others to buy the right caps/hats for themselves. At last, let`s see which group can do it the best. And it`ll be the winner.)
五、Homework
1、课后听课文录音,并背诵课文。
2、用英语向家人、朋友介绍自己最喜爱的几件物品,并用上英语单词:“big/small/heavy/light/hard/easy…”。
3、课后和同学表演购物的环节,并用上句子:“It's too…for…/Try this one in…”
六、Summary
T: What does Lingling want to buy today? Why doesn’t she buy the blue one?
Ss:…
T: What did you buy today? Do you like your hat/cap? Do you want to play football now?
Ss: ...
T: It’s a nice day today. So please put on your hat/cap. Now let`s go out to play football. Let`s sing and go.
