一、   教材分析
本课教学内容为外研版小学英语五年级上Module7Unit1 He can’t see.本课以“dog”为主线，谈论狗对人类的帮助。用情态动词can以及用can’t谈论能力的不足。这个话题比较贴近学生的日常生活，使学生可以从自身爱好和兴趣出发，在现实生活中，把所学的知识用来进行交流。
二、   学情分析
对于五年级的学生来说，这一知识已经在四年级上第五模块有过接触，对情态动词can 的知识已基本掌握,因此,本课的学习就是继续激发学生的学习兴趣,让他们乐于用旧知积极获取新知,拓展视野、提升能力。
三、   教学目标
1、  知识目标：
（1）          全体学生能理解单词a lot , useful,show,presenter,blind,deaf,hear,her,fire,firefighter,hot dog,sausage.
（2）          全体学生能运用：hear, her.
（3）          部分学生能运用：a lot, useful,show,presenter,blind,deaf,hear,her,fire,firefighter,hot dog,sausage.
2、能力目标：
能听懂并口头运用“can ,can’t+动词原形”结构表达能力和不能。
能理解和掌握句型：He is blind ,he can’t see. She is deaf, she can’t hear .
3、情感目标：使学生认识到保护动物，保护自然的重要性，培养学生尊重和乐于帮助残障人的良好品质。
四、   教学重点：
1、  新单词的掌握和运用。
2、  运用“can,can’t+动词原形”句型描述能力.
五、   教学难点：
1、  多音节单词firefighter,sausage的发音.
2、  “can ,can’t+动词原形”在实际生活中的运用.
六、   教具准备：
多媒体课件、单词卡片，狗卡片
七、   教学过程：
（一） Warming-up
1、  Greetings
2、  Play a guessing game.（猜猜老师袋子里包着什么？-玩具狗）
3、  Let’s listen and chant.
Dogs are clever.
Dogs are cute.
They can help a lot.
Dogs are useful.
Dogs are cool.
They can do a lot.
[设计意图]运用与本课主题相关的游戏、歌谣作为课前热身，为学习新知铺好基础，也奠定了轻松活泼的课堂教学节奏。
(二)Presentation
1、Leading-in.
T: Dogs are our friends . They are useful. This class we’ll talk about special dogs . Now, Let’s listen.
2、Text-learning
(1)听第一遍录音
a. Listen and underline the new words.(分小组比赛的形式，学生找出新单词，老师把这些单词板书到黑板。)
b. Learn the new words.（通过高低音、模仿、音形联想、游戏等进行教学）
（2）听第二遍录音（Listen and answer）
a.呈现问题：What’s the TV show about?
            What’s the matter with this man ?
            What’s the matter with this girl ?
学生读问题，带着问题听录音。小组合作完成问题。
（3）Listen and repeat.
三、Practice
A：四人小组活动，读课文。
B：根据课文判断对错。
Amy and Lingling are listening to music. (    )
Dogs are useful.(     )
This man can’t hear ,this dog helps him.  (    )
Lingling likes dogs. (     )
C:看图写句子。
[设计意图]发挥小组合作，在组内读书后，完成练习题，加深了对课文的理解。看图写话,是can’t在实际生活中的运用。
四、Extension
1、小组合作：课件出示一些动作图片，四人一组，用can\can’t说写话，如I can swim , but I can’t run fast.由组长先说，然后采访其他三个同学，共同完成活动单。
2、展示交流。
[设计意图]通过对自身能力的描述,加深了学生对情态动词can’t的理解和掌握。
T： Boys and girls .In our life ,there are many disabled people.Some are blind ,they can’t see. Some are deaf, they can’t hear ,so we should help them .Because you and me from one world,we are family.
五、Homework
1、熟读课文。
2、分别用can和can’t写3句话.
