Teaching contents:

Fun time & Sound time & Culture time

Teaching aims:

（一）知识目标

1. 学生能听懂，会读，会说单词和短语for example, like, Oxford, Big Ben, London Eye, Tower Bridge.

2. 学生能了解其他国家的著名景点。

3. 学生能了解air的发音。

（二）能力目标

1. 学生能掌握如何去查找信息的方法并能自己查找完成信息卡。

2. 学生能仿照例子介绍中西国家的情况。

3. 学生能正确朗读和辨别音素 air/ eə /

（三）情感目标

能够在交流过程中树立团结互助的意识，体会和享受中西国家的不同魅力，并懂得珍惜现有的名胜古迹。

Teaching focus:

1.在了解国家景点过程中掌握单词和短语。

2.掌握如何查找信息的方法并仿照例子介绍中西国家的情况。

3.正确辨别音素/ eə /

Teaching difficulties:

能运用所学方法制作信息卡并进行中西国家著名景点等的介绍。

Teaching aids:

PPT课件、单词卡片，信息卡、导学单等。

Teaching process:

Step 1  Warm up

Brain storm （说出同类单词）



Step 2 Sound time

1. Lead in

Show the pictures of Sydney and learn the words ‘fair, view and fresh’

2. Read the sentences in different ways.

3. Group work: Find the similar words of the sound ‘air’.(Group work)

4. Read and judge.



Step 3  Fun time &Culture time

1. Learn the scenic spots

2. Learn the short passage of fun time

(1)Listen and choose

(2)Know more information about the UK

(3)Make an information card about the UK（Group work）

3. Learn how to describe a country and say something about it.



Step 4 Consolidation and practice

1. Review some places and cities of China.

2. Say something about China.

3. Complete the pamphlet about China.(Group work)



Step 5 Homework

1 .Try to study the US by yourselves.

2 .Get ready to share something about the US .
