Step2 Leading in

2. Ask and answer
Would you like to have a picnic this Sunday?
What kind of food/vegetables/meat/drink can we take for the picnic?
What kind of food/vegetables/meat/drink would you like?
Step3 Presentation
1. (Show some pictures of food on the big screen)
Present some new words and expressions to the Ss.
2. Ss learn the new words and expressions by themselves.
3. Work on 1a:
Read the words on the left and look at the pictures on the right. Write the letters
of the food on the line. Then check the answers.
Step4 Game (Guess the food.)
(Show some pictures of food on the big screen)
Let Ss guess what food it is.
Ss try to guess the food and learn the words.
Step5 Listening (1b)
T: Are you hungry? Let’s go to the Noodle House!
T: There are many kinds of noodles in the noodle house. What kind of noodles
would you like?
T: In the following conversation, one man is ordering some food. Now, let’s
listen to the tape, find out the right noodles the person orders.
Play the recording for the Ss to listen and check the answers.
Step6 Pair work
1. Present the conversation in 1a on the big screen and ask Ss to practice it.
2. Make their own conversations using the noodles in the picture.
3. Let some pairs act out their conversations.
Step7 Exercises
Group work: Ask and answer.
e.g.: A: What kind of food would you like?
B: I’d like some ….
Then have a report.
e.g.: Tom would like chicken and cabbage noodles. Anna would like beef and
tomato noodles.
Step8 Discussion
1. Which do you think is healthy food?
2. Which is junk food?
3. How to stay healthy?
Step9 Homework
Please make a bowl of noodles for your parents when you get home.
