教学目标:
1、 知识技能目标:
①巩固复习上一单元学习的形容词以及形容词比较级:tall---taller short----shorter strong---stronger old---older
②学会并能口头运用Beijing is bigger than Tianjin.
③学习并能识别运用短语:Mount Qomolangma、Mount Tai、The Great Wall、The Summer Palace
④熟读Poem并学会表演。
2、 情感文化目标:
充分激发学生对学习英语的兴趣,通过本课教学让学生感受祖国自然风光的美好,激发其热爱大自然的情怀,并潜移默化地进行爱国主义教育,让学生养成爱学、乐学的学习习惯,课堂上充分展现自己的知识水平与能力。
教学重难点:

2、 能口头表达及描述两个事物的差异,

Step1:Warm-up
Greetings
T:Good morning, children!
Ss: Good morning, Canny!
T: It’s fine day.How are you?
Ss: I’m fine.
Step 2 : Revision:2
T: Do you know Yaomin? Ss: Yes.
T: Do you like him? Ss: Yes.
T: Look ! (拿出photo介绍 ) This is Yaomin. He’s tall.(手势提示学生说出“tall”这个词)
(做神秘状)I have another photo. Look !Who is he? (拿出班上一学生的photo,幻灯展示) Ask::Who can make a sentence?(引导复习比较级句子: ×× is taller/shorter than ××.)
T: (请一个学生上台和教师站在一起,让其他孩子试着造句 )
×× come here. Who can make a sentence? (复习××is older/younger than ××.)
T: Look, there are three cards. You can choose one and make a sentence, Who want to try? (请一个学生上台来造句) [fat / thin / strong ]
T: Now, look at the screen. There are some presents. I’ll open it, then you should say the sentences.
Step 3 : Presentation (New lesson)
① 教学:The Yellow River / The Changjing River / longer
T: Look! I have another present. It’s big. Do you want to know that what is in it?(疑惑状)
Ss: Guess!
T: Let’s look! (点开礼物盒) oh ! It’s a map of China .
(介绍,呈现新课) In our country, there are two famous rivers .They are beautiful. One is our mother river , it is very long, it is China’s second longest river. The other one is more than 6000 kilometres long. What are they?
Ss: 长江 黄河
教学:The Yellow River / The Changjing River(全班读,个别读)
Sentence: The Changjiang River is longer than the Yellow River .
② 教学 the Great Wall / the Summer Palace / older
T: (边说边戴上帽子,背上包) I like travlling very much. So in holiday I often take my hat , my bag and my camera go to some places . I will take some pictures. Look! In this photo , I went to the Great Wall.(展示photo ) It’s me.
教学:the Great Wall ( 手势表示 great , wall ) 长城是人们智慧的结晶 (wall, wall, the Great Wall)
T: Another photo. It’s the Summer Palace . “summer” means 夏天 ,palace 宫殿,So the Summer Palace How beautiful they are! 介绍:长城和頣和园在我国历史悠久,长城距今已有2000多年的历史,頣和园距今也有200多年的历史了。因此我们可以说:The Great Wall is older than the Summer Palace.
Sentence: The Great Wall is older than the Summer Palace .
③ 教学 Mount Qomolangma / Mount Tai / highter (让学生们自己试着说)
T: I dream of travel around the world, climb Mount Qomolangma and Mount Tai is my dream.(展示两幅图,分别教学)
Sentence: Mount Qomolangma is highter than Mount Tai .
T: Shall you go with me?
④ 教学 Beijing / Tianjin / bigger (让学生自己完成句子)
T: What’s the capital of China ? Ss: Beijing .
T: Look here , this is Beijing and this is Tianjin . ( 让学生自己读出 )
Sentence::Beijing is bigger than Tianjin.
T: Look at this word----bigger(板书,ger特别标注), you should write double “g” read it “Beijing is bigger than Tianjin.”
Game:
T:Now play a game. A student say “bigger \bigger…… ” when I touch anywhere you say the sentence “Beijing is bigger than Tianjin.” Understand?
Ss: Yes.
⑤观看VCD
T: At the first .Look and listen the VCD, take out your fingers and point.
T: Now this time , listen and loud repeat.
⑥ Say the poem.
T: Listen and follow me and do the actions.
T: Now just listen the poem.
T: Let’s say. (1~2遍)
Step 4 Home work
1、 向爸爸妈妈或朋友介绍自己曾经旅游过的地方,并和自己的家乡进行比较,尽量用英文说出它们的不同,如:哪个地方更大些?哪里的河流更长一些等。
2、 完成活动用书P20 第一题 。
3、 把课堂上学习的小诗读给伙伴们听。
