1）、学生了解12个月的名称。
2）、能用英语说自己的生日及家人、亲人等的生日。
3．情感目标：通过活动教育学生关心家人及朋友。
4．学习策略：
1）培养学生学习的自信心，激发学生积极思维。
2）通过小组活动，培养学生的合作能力。
3）在任务中引导学生积极运用所学的英语进行交流和表达。
教学重点和难点：
1.        学生掌握12个月的名称。
2.        学生能用英语问答生日。
3.        综合运用新旧知识进行交流。
教学准备：Tape、pictures、cards.
教学过程：
一、        Warm-up(5 mins)
1.        Greeting.
2.        Sing a song.: Months and Seasons
3.        Free talk.
二、        Presentation(10  mins )
1.        T: How many months are there in a year?  
2.        Teach “months” Ss read.
3.        T: Today we’ll learn Unit 1 “Months of a Year”.
4.        T shows a calendar and  ask What’s this?
5.        T teach the months , Ss read and learn.
三、        Practice(15mins)
1.        Game: “Response Quickly.”
2.        T: June Ss say May or July.
3.        Guess
T shows the PPT Ss look and say.
4.T shows the PPT(a dialogue).
A: when is the school trip?
B: It’s in October.
Ss learn the new  sentences.
S1:  when is your birthday?
S2:   It’s in …
S3:   When is your birthday?
S4:    It’s in …
4.        Game in 4 trains
T: When is your boirthday?
(T invite the Ss in every group)
S1 : My birthday is in Match.
S1 then ask group members :when is your birthday?
S2: My birthday is in …S3,S4,S5…
5. Play the tape Ss listen and repeat.
