二.能力目标: Learn how to ask someone else’s birthdate. Make dialogues according to the topic.

二教学步骤 :
Step 1 Warming up :
Listen, learn and sing a song together (Ten litt le Indian boys)
Step 2 :Introduction:
Tell the students the numbers in the song are all cardinal numbers, then help the students learn the ordinal words.
Step3: Ex plore and report:
Ask the students to find the difference by comparing the two columns. Di scuss in groups and then get them to dr aw a conclusion, the students then report their results in front of the class.
Step 4. Introduction :
Present the months of a year in order, try to get the students to practice .
Step 5. A game:
Get the stud ents to speak the dates as quickly as they can.
Step6.Leading-in
Show the students the festivals on the calendar and present the conversation:. When is …? It’s….
Then the conversation : When is your birthday?
Step 7.Practice in pairs\groups
Get the students to look at the pictures then ask the students to make conversa tions in pairs.
Step 8.Listening:
Get the students to listen and name the pictures.
Ste p 9. Group work:
Get the st udents to ask each other’s birthdate and make a chart and giv e a report in pairs\groups.
Step 10. Exercise s:
Ask the students to do some exercises to consolidate what they have learned.
