教材分析
本课的阅读是一个小故事“国王和鸟”,通过国王的儿子对待鸟的态度的转变,告诉孩子们要爱护鸟类,保护环境。故事用一般过去时态讲述,使学生进一步熟悉该时态的用法,加深理解。
学情分析
学生已经了解了一般过去时态的构成及用法,有一定的基础。
教学目标
能理解故事大意,并能回答课文内容有关的问题及能根据图片和所给关键词复述。
教学重点和难点
重点:回答问题,复述课文。
难点:用正确的时态复述课文。
教学过程
复习检查:
(1)、复习单词:出示本课单词卡片,教师说英文,学生说中文,然后互换,单词once,garden要求学生根据音标写出英文单词及中文词义。
(2)、复习对话:学生之间用学过的交际用语,运用一般过去时态进行对话。
2、导入新课:
(1)、学习词组:板书词组:every morning ,try to,be afraid of,fly away,come back,say sorry to,not ...any more,hop up。学生跟教师读,并说出中文词义。
(2)、导入Read:
A、教师先放一遍录音,让学生对本故事内容有初步了解;
B、然后再逐句放录音,学生跟说并译成中文。
3、操练:
(1) 学生初步熟悉文章内容之后,组织学生进一步熟读课文。师领读,学生跟读。接着让学生逐句读出文章并且译成汉语。学生对整篇文章内容熟习之后回答以下问题。

What did the King often do in the morning?
Who always tried to catch the birds?
Did the birds fly away every time Gus came?
Were there any birds and flowers in the garden at last?
How were the trees?
What did the king say to his son?
What did Gus say to his father?
Did the birds come back again then
Were Gus and the king happy?
(2)出示挂图,在每幅挂图下给出关键词,逐句放录音,学生跟说,练习复述,每幅都完成后,根据关键词练习通篇复述。
(3)小组之内先复述,每个学生一段进行复述,然后小组在班内复述,评出优胜组。
4、作业:找出本篇故事中所有的动词,并写出其原形,并做练习册中的练习七。
