Teaching Steps:
I. Questions: What is the highest mountain in the world? What is the largest city in the world? What is the longest river in the world?
II. Go over the way to form superlatives of adjectives.
III. Presentation
(Part B2)
1. Write hot, big, long and young on the board. Ask the students to write the comparative and superlative of these words on a pice of paper.
2. Put the students into pairs. They check the answers with their partner.
3. Show Koko. Ask the students to look at the pictures and the words below them.
4. read the sentences on the postcard and ask the students to repeat them after me.
5. Tell the students to complete the postcard using the correct form of the words.
(Part B3)
1. Read the rubric to the students. Remind them that they should familiarize themselves with the sentences before I play they tape. Show Koko. Ask the students to fill in the blanks according to what they hear on the tape.
2. Ask the students to listen to the tape once more to check their answers.
3. Ask the students to correct the false sentences in B3. Have some students read out their sentences for the class to check the answers.
Homework:
1. Copy B2 & B3 once.
2. Recite Part B2.

To teach the superlative degree of the adjectives, we can use the map of the world to teach the highest mountain in the world, the longest river in China, the highest city in the world, the largest city in China, etc. The students are very interested in learning them.

2. Read the story and fill in the blanks .

Teaching Steps:
I. Revision
1. Go over Parts A, B1&B2.
2. Have a dictation.
II. Teach Part C ( Splendid China)
1. Talk about Splendid China with the students. Ask them if they have been there before. Explain that it is a model park located at Shenzhen Bay. The major tourist attractions in China like the Great Wall, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, Potala Palace, etc. have been miniaturized in the park.
2. Ask the students to read the text silently and unaided the first time. Show Koko and ask them to say the sentences after it.
3. Give the students one minute. Ask them to find all the superlatives used in the text. (biggest, longest, highest)
III. Teach Part D
1. Ask the students to read the text again and then read through the sentences.
2. Tell them to fill in the blanks according to what they read in the text.
3. Check the answers.
Homework:
1. Listen to, read and recite C.
2. Copy “Splendid China, famous, building, Potala Palace, China Folk Culture Villages, show, enjoy, knife-knives” five times.
3. Copy Part C twice.

学生在学习锦绣中华时背诵很熟练,我借此引导学生热爱本土,用英语会向他人介绍自己城市的景点,也是让我们自豪的一件事情,学生们配合很好,谢谢孩子们。但由于学生的基础还有限制,有三分之二的同学不能流利背诵,需要更加强调学生多听,用关键词的方法去背诵,以减轻由于没有形成语感而机械背诵的负担。 |
