1. warmer
write the following words on the board.

teach any unfamiliar vocabulary, check the students’understanding by having the students ask you, ‘how do you say…in Chinese?
Now explain that the words on the board represent some items found in a library.
Examples: T:newspaper.

tell the students to close their books, tell them you are going to play the tape twice and they have to tell you which library rules they hear.
2. listen and do.
Write this rule in the board, please speak English during engish lessons.
Ask the students where and when they should observe this rule.
Have the students work in pairs and try to think of additional rules that should be observed during an English lesson, on completion,have each pair read one of their ruses.

revise imperatives by giving the students instructions.
Examples:
Boys, stand up, please.
Girls, stand up, please.
Shake hands with a class mate, please.
Open your English book, please.
Touch your nose, please.
2. listen and say, then sing.
Before singing the song
have the students look at the pictures and describe them
ask the students what they think the song oil be about. Find out
if they know any action songs that inbolve clapping and stamping.
While singing the song
play the tape and let the students listen to the melody. Play it again and have the students sing along with the tape.
Have the students do the approptiate actions . when they sing ‘clap your havds’.they should do that action. They should stamp their feet as they sing ‘stamp your feet’.
Note that the students can do these actions while they are seated at their desks.
After singing the song
Have the students substitute other lines instead of ‘clap your hands’ and ‘stamp your feet’.
Examples:
Blink your eyes.
Nod your head.
Shrug your shoulkers.
Touch your nose/ears.
Wiggle your ears.
Now have the students sing the song again and use the new lines. They should also do the appropriate actions.
