    General goals of Unit 3
    In this unit , Li Ming experiences winter in Canada . He and your students learn vocabulary to describe winter and the other seasons . This Unit also covers outdoor winter recreation and clothing and a variety of common English words and phrases .

    Step 2 Presentation and practice

    1) Review the months of the year in order .
    Put four pictures to represent the seasons at the appropriate points about the line of cards .
    2) For example , show a snowflake and a thermometer with a cold reading for “ winter ” and place it above the cards for December and January .
    3) When I have a picture for each season posted above the months , walk from “ winter ” to “ fall ” as I say :
