1、  This is my sister. This is my brother.
(1)  学生看图并描述,尽可能多地用英语引导学生讨论Jenny相册中的照片和句子。
(2)  问学生能认识照片旁边句子中的哪些词,并让他们猜猜句子的意思。
(3)  播放录音,学生看书跟读。
2、  Old or young?
(1)  展示给学生两张卡片,一张画有老人,另一张画有年轻人。
(2)  教师指着图片教读Old /young ,学生跟读。
(3)  师生对话
T: Is he /she old or young ?
S: He/She is _.
3、  How old are you ?
(1)  把How old are you? I am _ years old. 写在黑板上,和学生一起重复这些用语。
(2)  教师与个别学生进行对话。
T: Hello! My name is _. What’s your name?
S1: My name is _.
T: Nice to meet you ! I’m _years old. How old are you?
S1:_./ I’m _.
(3)  引导学生分组编演对话。
(4)  师生一起看课本第三部分。
问: How old is Jenny ?
   How old is LiMing?
How old is Danny?
帮助学生说出He/She is _ years old .和 forty, thirty-two这两个词。
(5)播放录音,学生看书跟读。
(6)师生一起大声地朗读每个句子。
三、播放歌曲《I love you, you love me》,师生齐唱。

一、          What is it?
1、Greeting  and  sing
    T:"Hi! How are you today? Let us sing the song "I love you, you love me."OK?"
(Students do actions as they say.)
1.     Show  pictures  of  a  birthday  cake(with  candles),presents  and  a  party.
2.     Write the word on the blackboard and ask individual students in Chinese,then in English.
"What  day  is  your  birthday?"  
“Do you have birthday cake,birthday presents ,a party?”  
“How do you feel in your birthday?”
3..Practice  and  act.
二、.Today is my birthday
1: look at the picture .listen to the radio
2、Ask some questions.
T:What are they doing?
S:They are talking.
  T:Is Jenny happy?
  S:Yes.
T:Why? Why is Jenny happy? Because is Jenny’s……
S:Birthday.
T: How old is Jenny?

二 New concept
1 Let's sing a song
       1) Introduce the song for students.
       2) The first time let students listen the audiotape .
3)Then follow the teacher sing the song .
       4) Ask students to be “father mother sister and so on ” sing the song.
2 Lynn goes to Dr.Liu.
     1) The teacher to be doctor do the dialoguer with puppet.
       T: Now I’m a doctor.
What’s the matter?
       P: My ______ hurts.
         I feel too sick to go to school.
       T: You should go to bed, don’t eat nothing . Okay ?
       P: No I feel much better.
       P:Thanks ,Dr.Li.
       T: You are welcome.
     2) listen the audiotape and read the student’s book.
   3 Practice
      1)Divide the students to some groups .Ask them do the dialoguer “to see doctor”
      2)In the group one student is a doctor and with others do the dialoguer. Teacher can give them some help.
      3)Show the dialoguer to other groups.
4 Homework
    Sing the song to your family.

二、New Concepts
1.     Student Book
Lead a discussion about the pictures that compares play with work. Point to the picture about Jenny’s family. Say They are playing together. Translate the meaning of together. Point to each one in the picture, and learn the new words.
Play the audiotape as the students follow in their books.
2.     Practice
Ask the students to find partners and take turns asking each other questions about the pictures in the student book.
S1: What’s he /she doing? What are they doing?
S2: He/She’s ___ing. They are ____ing.
T: Let’s play together. Ask your partner “What are you doing?”
T: Let’s work together. Ask your partner “What are you doing?”
3.Story: “Jenny’s Birthday”
Prepare to read
Look at the pictures on the story book.
Questions: What do you think Jenny feels today?
           Why?
            Who do you think will come to Jenny’s birthday party?
Read the story
Play the audiotape of “Jenny’s Birthday”
as the students read along with the pictures.
Discuss the story
Divide the students into small groups (<5 children), show some questions for discussion.
Questions:  How does Jenny Smith feel today?
               Do Jenny’s family and friends give her presents?
               What are they?
                    How old is Jenny?
                    What are they doing?
                    What is Danny doing?
                    What does Danny want to do?
      T: Do you have any other questions? (让学生提出更多的问题,大家共同解决,培养学生发现问题,自己解决问题的能力。)

            Play the audiotape and stop after each instruction to allow the students time to complete each exercise.
    N1: Listen. Fill in the blanks.
    N2: Match the words with the family.
    N3: Listen. Fill in the blanks. Match the words and pictures.
    N4: Listen and draw.
