T: Did you enjoy yourself at McDonald' s?
Ss: Yes.
T: Who would like to share us your experience? Please tell us about what you eat at McDonald' s and why do you like them, etc.
When several students finished their talk, the teacher made a summary: I know many of you like fast- food such as McDonald' s and KFC. They do have some advantages as you mentioned just now. but is it any problem with them? Let’s read a passage and find out :what is the problem with the McDonald' s?

Give the Ss three minutes to read the news. Then Ss can fond the answer to the question: Ronald McDonald, the clown mascot for fast- food giant McDonald' s, sends contradictory and confusing messages during his appearances in elementary schools to promote fitness and healthy eating.
Step 4 Discussion
Let Ss discuss: Is it right for New Brunswick' s Education Department to give the boot to the corporate clown in the big red shoes and Why?
Step 5 Comparison
Let Ss compare Chinese food and Western food and find out which is healthier?
Step 6 Conclusion
After discussion and comparison , Ss can draw the conclusion: in terms of health, Chinese food is better than western food because it’s low in fat and rich in fiber. So we’d better not eat too much fast-food.
