My school life
Hi, everyone. My name is Bob. I study in Park Primary School. I’m in Class 4, Grade 5. Our morning lessons begin at a quarter to nine and we finish school at four. My school life is Wonderful. My favourite subject are English, Social Study and art-and-craft. But we like computer and science best. Because we can play computer games and write E-mails to each other.
My school is not big. But it’s beautiful. Look, that is our classroom building. It’s high. Our classroom is on the first floor. There are eight classes in our grade. There are forty-five students in our class, including twenty-five boys and twenty girls. After class, we often have a rest in our school garden. I’d like reading books in it. We’ve got three terms in a school year. They are the summer term, the autumn term and the winter term.
      The school life is rich and interesting. The teachers are kindly and the students are lovely and friendly. We feel very happy at our school.

Four Seasons
Spring is the best season of the year. It lasts from March to May. The days get longer. The nights get shorter, and the weather gets warmer. Everything begins to grow; Grass and trees begin to turn green. Flowers begin to come out. Children begin to fly kites outdoors.
Summer comes after spring. It is the hottest season in the year. It lasts from June to August. People try to find a cool place then. They always go swimming in pools, lakes, and rivers.
Autumn is the harvest(丰收)season. It gets cool. Farmers begin to gather(收藏) in food. They are busy from September to November.
The coldest season of the year is winter. It’s from about December to February. The days are short and the nights are long. It snows sometimes and that makes children happy. They make a snowman and dance round it. They go skating as well.



Weather
What kind of weather do you like?
     I like sunny weather because I can play on the beach. The sun is shinning. It is warm in the sun. The sand is nice and soft.  I play games with my friends. We feel happy.
     I like windy weather because I can fly my kite. It’s my favorite thing to do. The wind blows hard. The kite flies higher and higher.   
     I like rainy weather because I like to jump in puddles. It’s fun. There is a lot of rain in south China. I often carry my umbrella with me. Sometimes I sing in the rain. Sometimes I dance in the rain.
     I think there is little snow in Shanghai. But I live in Harbin. It’s snowy in winter in Harbin. I like snowy weather because I can make a snowman. I’m going to put a hat on a snowman this winter. Come and join me






A plan for the summer holidays
    The summer holiday is coming. I have a lot of things to do. So I want to make a plan.
Hong Kong is a beautiful city. I am going to Hong Kong with my parents during the summer holiday.
    We are going to leave Shanghai for Hong Kong on August 3rd. We can visit many interesting places there, such as Disneyland, the Ocean Park and the Harbor City. I think Hong Kong is a nice place.
    There are many foreigners in Hong Kong. I can speak English with them and introduce our beautiful country to them.
What a wonderful summer holiday! I can’t wait for it.

Robots are becoming a big part of our lives. There may be half a million robots in the U.S. 20 years from now.
These machines are changing the way of work that is being done. Thousands of robots are used in factories. These robots are not like the robots in movies. They don’t walk or talk. Instead, a robot may be just a metal arm. The robot arm can do a certain job in a factory over and over again. It can do jobs that people may not want to do. A robot never gets tired of doing the same thing.

Dirty Hand

Mike is a small boy, and he hates soap and water. Three or four times every day his mother says to him, “Mike, your hands are very dirty again. Go and wash them.” But Mike never really washes them well. He only puts his hands in the water for a few seconds and then takes them out.
Mike’s uncle and aunt live in another city. One day they come to stay with Mike’s parents, and they bring their small son, Ted, with them. Ted is a year younger than Mike, and he doesn’t like soap and water, either.
The boys sit with their parents for a few minutes, but then they go outside. When they are alone, Mike looks at Ted’s hands and then says proudly, “My hands are dirtier than yours!”

A Clever Boy

A young boy is playing with a ball in the street. He kicks it too hard, and it breaks the window of a house and falls inside. A lady comes to the window with the ball and shouts at the young boy. So the young boy runs away, but he still wants his ball back. A few minutes later he returns and knocks at the door of the house. The Best Salesman in the World

Harry wants to be a great salesman, so he goes to a building and speaks to the manager. “I’m the best salesman in the world,” he says, “Give me a job as a salesman.”
“You must prove you’re the best,” the manager says. The manager takes a box of candy out of his desk. “Last week, I bought 1,000 boxes of this candy. If you can sell them all before the end of the week, you can have the job.”
“That’s very easy,” Harry says.
