T: Good morning, class. Sit down, please.

T: Now, please look at Today’s Proverb: A friend in need is a friend indeed. Do you know the meaning?
Ss:Yes. “患难见真情”.
T: Right. I want to be your friend indeed.Ok,let’s listen to a poem “I will be your friend” Please listen to it carefully. (欣赏诗歌).Then let’s read together.
Ss: I will be your friend
   I will be your brand-new friend
   May I friendship never end.
   I will help at work or play.
   I will be there night or day
   You can always count on me.
   For I am your best friend,you see.
T: Do you like it?
Ss: Yes.
T: Today we’ll learn something about friend.(板书:friend---pen friend)
(Teach students “pen friend—pen pal )
II. Teaching the new words .
T: This class we are going to learn Unit 1 Where is your pen pal from ?
(Show students a map of world )
T : Name the countries you kown .
S s: 中国、日本、美国、澳大利亚······
T :Good. Do you want to kown how to name these countries in English .
Ss : Yes .
Teach these words “China . Japan . Australia . Singapore , the United State , the United Kingdom , Canada ,France  “one by one . First teach Ss to read ,then teacher say the countriy , Ss find the country in the map,and next exchange .
III . New sentences teaching .
Show Ss the picture on page 1
T : Is there anyone having pen pal s in you class .
(A few students hands up )
T : I also have a pen pal . She is from Japan. Where is your pen pal from?
Meiya : She is from the United States .
Yimei : She is from Singapore .
Sulei : He is from Canada .
T : Now let’s look at the picture on page 1 .Do you want to know where their pen pal are from ? Let’s read the conversation in the picture .
( For the first time the whole class read together , second boys and girls , at last one boy and one girl )
V . Listening practice .
Finish 1b
T : Now we are going to do some listening practice . Listen to the record , for the first time , just listen , try to understand what they are talking ahout .For the second , circle the countries in 1a you hear .
At last ,check the answer together .
IV . Oral practice .
Ask two students to act the conversation on page 1 .Then ask more to make their own conversations by using the words and sentences we learned
VII .Solation .
T : what have we learned this class ?
Ss : Some countries and something about pen pal .
T : Let’s read the new words together , and then the conversation .
VIII . Homework .
T : Make your own conversation by using the target language .And try to recite the words we learned in this class .
