教学目标
  1. Get sentences with the weather vocabulary :hot cold warm cool fine 。.
  2. Learn how to entertain guests to weather sentences
  3. Key sentences: What’s the weather l It's sunny/rainy/ snowy/cloudy/ windy. It's hot /cool/cold/warm.
  教学难点分析: 能够认读 Urumqi Hongkong Harbin Haikou New York London Paris
  教学课时:The second period
  教学过程
  Step 1: Organization and revision:
  1. Task presentation.
  2. Do the dialouages betweenLiu Mei and Wang Shi:
  W:I’m wating TV.L:What’s on?W:Weather reports after the news. L:How is the weather tomorrow?W:It’s cloudy in Beijing. he temperature is eight to fourteen . It’s cool.L:What’s the weather like in Harbin?W:What?L:What’s the weather like in Harbin ? How is the weather in Harbin? W:It isn’t fine.It’s windy. It’s cold.L:What’s the weather like in Xian? W:It’s sunny .It’s a fine day. It’s nine to twenty-two. It’s warm.L:What about Shanghai? W:It’s cloudy.L:And Haikou?W:It’s sunny .It’s fifteen to thirty-two. It’s hot L:Oh.I know.Thank you.
  3.. Learn how to entertain guests to weather
 Step 2: Presentation:
  1. Learn countable and uncountable nouns.
  2. Classify the words on the blackboard into countable and uncountable groups:
  [C]: eg, cloudy, sunny
  3. Get sentences with the weather words :hot cold warm cool fine 。 Play a game:
  S1: cloudy S2: sunny S3:…
  4 . Listen to the song of ABC. While listening, get students find out weather words from the song.
  5 Let’s listen to the dialogue,then answer the questions. 1)What is Wang Shi doing?(He is watching the weather reports. 2)What’s the weather like in Xian?(It’s sunny .It’s hot. ) 3)What’s the weather like in Beijing ?(It’s cloudy and it is cool.) 4) Do you often watch the weather report?(Yes./ No.)
  .6 Consolidation: Practice those words with sentences.
  . Check how much students have learnt about the new words:
  Ss show pictures to partners and ask each other to spell the word
  Step 3: Practice and Summary:

1. Ask 1)Review some words with students. (show word cards) 2) T:Suppose you invite some classmates to aunserSs work in pairs to practice the key sentences, then act out the dialogues.)

  2. Activity 1a:

  1)Listen and understand.

  2)Listen again, then read after the tape.

  3)Point out some useful expressions:

  3. Activity 2 :

  1)Ss listen to the tape and fill in the blanks. Check the answers.

  2)Point out useful expressions:

  4 Summary:Check out whether Ss finish the tasks or not. (Briefly review the words, sentences and grammar we’ve learnt today.)

  课堂练习

  Work in groups and study the conversation in activity 1a and activity

  What’s your favorite city? How is the weather/What’s the weather like in spring/summer/autumn/winter in the city?What’s your favorite season?

  作业安排

  1. Finish your exercise sheet.

  2. Write down the new wordsyou learn today
