Because Lingling’sbirthday is coming, some of her friends are talking about what gift to buy forher. First, let’s see what they are. Step 2 Presentation T:OK, You have known what presents they are. Now, let’s listen to the tape. Youhave two tasks: first, number the words and expressions as you hear them, andthen find out what present they want to buy for Lingling. Step 3 Listening 1. T: Lingling’sfriends are celebrating Lingling’s birthday at her home. Let’s listen what theyare talking about and answer the questions: 1) Does Lingling openher present later or immediately? 2) What kind of othertraditions are they talking about? 2. T: Listen again andcheck what you usually do in China. 1) Open a present immediately when you receive it. 2) Accept a present with both hands. 3) Use red paper for hongbao. 4) Do cleaning on the first day of the Spring Festival. 5)Cut your hair during the Spring Festival. 6)Break something during the Spring Festival. Step 4Read Ask the students to read the dialogue bythemselves first. Then work in pairs. Finally the teacher will choose the luckynumber to read the dialogue correctly, loudly and beautifully. Step 5Practise 1. Fill in the table T: After reading the dialogue several times,please try your best to fill in the table.
