The teacher shows the pictures of new words and let the students tosay as quickly as possible. Step 2 Leading-in Ss look the pictures and answerthe questions. Step 3Listening and complete the notes 1. Before you listen: Pay attention to theseinformation: name activity time number place 2. Shorts are good, or you can wear light trousers. shorts“短裤”，是表示成双成对的名词，用复数。 英语中一些表示成双成对的名词通常以复数形式出现，常见的有sunglasses(太阳镜), trousers(裤子), jeans(牛仔裤), gloves(手套)和scissors(剪刀)等。这些名词可以单独作主语，谓语动词用复数形式。 在表示“一副、一条”时，用a pair of，作主语时谓语动词的单复数形式取决于pair的形式。 e.g. Jack’s new shorts are very cool. Your bag mustn’t weigh too much. You’d better ask the travel companyabout the total weight for all your bags. weigh作动词，意为“重量有……；重……”； e.g. Linda is 1.65 cm tall andweighs 52 kilos. Could you please weigh thefish for me? weight是它的名词形式，意为“重量”。常用短语lose weight，意为“减肥”。 e.g. The weight ofthe car is over three thousand pounds. My sister is trying to loseweight. total adj. 总的；全部的 e.g. His totalincome (收入) was ￥50,000 last year. total n. 总数；总量 in total 共计；合计 e.g. Do you know howmany gold medals in total China got in the 2012 Olympic Games? 6.
