Unit 2  Goldilocks hurried out of the house
一、教学目标
1. 能正确使用下列单词和词组:piece, inpieces, asleep, cry, return, show, jump, without等
2. 能够读懂本文的故事,明白其中的主要人物和事件以及情节的先后顺序
3. 能用一般过去时给他人讲简单的故事。
二、情感态度价值观
通过阅读童话故事,提高学生对英语的学习兴趣,感受学习英语的乐趣。
三、教学重难点
【教学重点】
能读懂简单的故事,明白故事的主要人物、事情和情节。
【教学难点】
能尝试阅读一些简单的英文童话故事,并用一般过去时给他人做简单的描述。
四、教学过程
Step1Warming-up and Lead in
To watch the pictures of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.  Letstudents talk about the story and learn the new words.
Step2Work in pairs. Say what happened next inGoldilocks and the Three Bears.
1. I think Goldilocks decided to gohome.
2. Maybe she stayed in the house.
Step3Read the next part of the story of Activity 2 andnumber the pictures in the correct order.

Step4Match the sentences with the pictures in Activity2.
1. Goldilocksopened her eyes, jumped out of bed and hurried out of the house.
2. She tried thesmall chair.
3. The Three Bearsreturned to their house.
4. Baby Bear criedbecause there was nothing in his bowl and his chair was in pieces.
5. Baby Bearpointed at Goldilocks. She was asleep in his bed.

Step5Check () the true sentences.

Andthen write some new sentences with “first, next / then” and “finally”.

Step8Read the story in Activity 2 again. Imagine whatwill happen next. Write at least three sentences.
Step9Explain and study the important and difficultpoints.
1.      the usage ofthe word “ middle “
2.      the usage ofthe word “ either “
e.g. —I can’tswim.     —I can’t swim either.
3.      the usage ofthe word “ asleep “
Step10Exercises
1. I often _____(go) to school by bus, but I ____ (walk) to school today.
2. Alice often _____(finish) her homework at eight o’clock, but she _____ (finish) at nine o’clocklast night.
3. Baby Bear_____ ( not notice) the little girl in his bed.
Step11Homework
Review and recite the important points of Unit2.
