Module 5 Shopping Unit 3 Language in use 一、教学目标： 【语言知识目标】 1)正确运用本模块的词汇：size，take,try, may, try on, certainly, wait a minute, sale,price, safe, one of, later... 2)能运用所学的购物用语询问价格，颜色和尺寸等在同学之间进行真实的交际。 【情感态度目标】 培养学生购物的正确认识，了解中外文化差异。 二、教学重难点 能够根据自己所学，为学校的野餐活动写一份购物清单。 三、教学过程 Step 1 Lead in Give instruction s of the competition: Thewhole class are divided into 4 groups, each group go to the blackboard andwrite out what they can buy in a supermarket. Let’s find out which group canwrite out the most goods in 90seconds. Step 2 Languagepractice 1.Read through the example sentences in the box with the whole class. 2.Ask the students to repeat the sentences in the box. Step 3 Work inpairs 1. Have the students make dialogues ofshopping and use the sentence like these: A:Can I help you? B:Yes, I’d… A:What colour do you like?/ How much / many would you like? / B:I like… A:What size do you take? … 2.Finish the exercises of Activity 1 and 2. 3.Ask the students to sum up the usage of these two phrases: Howmany… How much… Tosum up the usage of these two phrases, the n finish Activity3 and Activity 4. 4.To introduce different ways of shopping in the world today. Step 4 Moduletask: Writing a shopping list for a school picnic. 1.Work in pairs. Write a shopping list for a school picnic. Whatfood do you need? Whatdrinks do you need? Howmuch / many do you need? 2.Complete your list with your classmates’ list. Findout your classmates’ lists. Addmore things to your list. 3.Present your shopping list to the class. Choose the best list. Step 5 Grammar——特殊疑问句： 一、定义：以疑问词开头，对句中某一成分提问的句子叫特殊疑问句。 二、常用的疑问词有：what（什么）， who（谁），whose（谁的），which（哪个）， when（何时），where（哪里）， how（怎样）， why（为何）等。 三、特殊疑问句的语序： 1．疑问词（+主语）+谓语动词+其他成分？ Whois singing in the room? 2．疑问词+一般疑问句语序？ Howmuch are these sausages? Whatsize does his mother take? Howmuch meat do you want? Whatcolor would you like? Whattime does he get up every morning﹖ Whenare you going to have a picnic? Whydo they like shopping on the Internet? 四、注意事项： 1．回答特殊疑问句时，不能用yes /no，即问什么答什么，尤其是简略回答。括号内是完整回答所需部分。 e.g.1)—Whatcolor does he like? —Helikes white. 2)—What size do you like? —Small. 3)—Howmuch beef would you like? —Halfa kilo. 4)— How much are they? —Thirty-eightyuan a kilo. 5)—Why do they like shopping on the Internet? —Becausethey can buy almost everything on the Internet, and it’s very easy. 2．特殊疑问句一般读降调(↓)。 【练习】根据句意，用恰当的疑问词及相关短语完成对话。 1.— ______ is your name? — Li Daming. 2.— _________ is the pen? — It’s red. 3.— _________ are you in? — I’m in Class 3. 4.— ________ does she take? — Size M. 5.— _____ are you? — I’m a student. key: 1.What 2. What colour 3. What class 4. What size 5. What Step 6 LanguagePoints howmany与howmuch的用法： 1.how many接可数名词的复数，表示“多少”。 Howmany books are there on the desk? 桌子上有多少本书？ Howmany days are there in a week? 一周有几天？ 2how much的用法 1)用来询问事物的数量，后接不可数名词。 Howmuch milk is there in the glass? 杯子里有多少牛奶？ 2)用来询问事物的重量。 —Howmuch does the pig weigh? 这头猪体重多少？ —Eightykilos.八十公斤。 3)howmuch 意为“多少钱”时，可单独使用，也可构成词组howmuch money，但英语中常省略money，用来询问某物的价钱、价格。 （注意：howmuch询问价格时，它的回答若是中国的货币单位应采用汉语拼音yuan来表示，字母用小写，且不用复数。） —Howmuch is the eraser? 这块橡皮多少钱？ —Twoyuan. 两元。 Step 7 Homework 书面表达： 周六，你和同班同学打算去野炊，你们带了很多食物（如面包、饼干、肉、鸡蛋和蔬菜等）、水果（如苹果、桔子和草莓等）和饮料（如牛奶、果汁和水）。你们打算唱歌、跳舞和放风筝，你们将玩得很开心。以“Aschool picnic”为题，写篇80字左右的短文。 ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 教学反思
