MODULE 1Unit 1 I want a hot dog,please.
一、学情分析:
六年级学生对英语学习兴趣整体有所下降,英语底子薄,两极分化比较严重。所以应做好后进生的转化工作。教师应该面向全体学生,以学生的发展为宗旨,始终把激发学生的学习兴趣放在首位,注意分层教学,引导学生端正学习态度,掌握良好的学习方法,培养学生良好的学习习惯。
二、教材分析:
本课的故事是在美国的Daming 和他的美国表兄Simon跟随Simon's dad 去一家快餐店就餐的经过。需要学生掌握的语言功能是如何在快餐店点餐:“What do you want? I want a hot dog, please.”及如何询问价钱:“How much is it? It's thirteen dollars and twenty-five cents.”本课的内容贴近学生的生活实际,有利于培养学生在真实的语言情景中运用英语进行交际的能力。
三、教学目标
1. 知识目标:
⑴能听懂、会读本篇对话,利用所学在快餐店中进行实际的语言交际;
⑵掌握本课中的四会单词:hamburger , cola,dollar, cent, enjoy
⑶掌握句型:What do you want? I want a hot dog,please. How much is it? It’s thirteen dollars and twenty-five cents.
2.技能目标:知道快餐店中的一些西方食品,并学会在快餐店点餐。
3.情感目标:结合本课了解西方文化,培养学生热爱英语,敢于开口的情感态度。帮助学生明确学习目标,培养学生自主、合作的学习方式。培养学生英语学习的乐趣,使他们在小组中积极与他人合作,共同完成任务;创设运用语言的真实语境。

六、教学准备:录音机,图片,单词卡片等。
七、教学步骤:
Step 1 Warm-up
1.Say “Hello” to the pupils and ask them several questions:
Did you have fun on your summer holiday?
What did you do? Where did you go?
2. Talk about some interesting experience during the winter vacation.
3. Do TPR games, such as “Do as I say, not as I do.” Practice
the two words of“eat”and“drink”.
Step 2 Introduction
1. The teacher says: After the exercises, I feel hungry and thirsty. I want something to eat and drink. Can you give me some suggestions?(让学生说出他们知道的食物和饮料,并板书在黑板上。)
2. Teach the new words in different ways.
hamburger ,cola,dollar, cent, enjoy
Let Ss read the words in their own small groups.
(T points to the words on the blackboard): I want a hot dog,please.(使用这种方式逐一把单词带入句型中,给学生进行重点句型的大量听力输入。)
Then ask and answer by different ways.
4.Pair works: Practice the key sentences.(课本P3的E3)
What do you want? I want….
How much is it? It’s ….
Step 3 Text
The teacher says:Today Daming, Simon and Simon’s father go to the restaurant to have the meal. The dialogue tells us the story.
Put the chart on the blackboard and ask the children to look at the picture carefully.
Listen to the dialogue between the waitress and the customers.
2. Play the cassette and circle the new words.
3. Play the cassette and ask some questions.
Where are they? Is a hot dog really a dog?
What does Daming\Simon\Simon’father want?
What do they want to drink?
How much is the meal?
4. Play the cassette again and pause after each sentence for the children to repeat.
5. Practice in groups and act out the dialogue.
Step 4 Finish a Task
Group works:Suppose you are in the restaurant and going to have a meal.Then make a dialogue.
Step 5 Homework
1. Read the text in roles.
2. Learn to say in English when you go into a restaurant and have a meal.
