时间:45分钟

教学目标:

I. Topic vocabulary

rice, egg, carrot, chicken, so, breakfast, lunch, dinner

II. Grammar focus

1. Countable nouns & uncountables.

2. Single form of the verb.

3. Some key sentences:

--- Do you like salad? --- Yes, I do. / No, I don't.

--- Does he / she like ...? --- Yes, he / she does. / No, he / she doesn't.

I like oranges. I don't like bananas.

He likes ice-cream. He doesn’t like vegetables.

III. Language goal

Talk about likes and dislikes.

IV. Emotion goals:

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Have more healthy food and form good eating habits.

Teaching procedures (教学步骤)

Step I: Lead-in

Aims: Create an active atmosphere and help the students review the words about the food.

Teacher's activities: Organize the students to review the words about food.

Students' activities: Listen to the teacher and review the words about food.

Step II: Classification & Summary
Aims: To classify the nouns of food and make a summary of singular form and plural form.
Teacher's activities: Lead and help the students to classify the nouns and organize the students to discover the rules of plural.
Students' activities: Cooperate with their classmates, classify the words and discover the rules of the plural.
Step III: Exercise and the pronunciation of the plural
Aims: To check if the students have mastered the rules of plural form.
Teacher's activities: Organize the students to do the exercise and teach them the pronunciation of the plural.
Students' activities: Finish the exercise and learn the pronunciation of the plural.
Step IV: Presentation
Aims: To present sentence patterns: "Do you like ...? I like ... Does he / she like ...? Yes, he does. No, he doesn't."
Teacher's activities: Organize the students to talk about their likes by using sentence patterns: "Do you like ...? I like ... Does he / she like ...?”
Students' activities: Talk about their likes or dislikes.
Step V: Practice
Aims: To practice sentence patterns: "Do you like ...? I like ... Does he / she like ...? Yes, he does. No, he doesn't."
Teacher's activities: Organize the students to talk about some famous people's likes and dislikes by using the target language in different ways.
Students' activities: Take part in the activity and the game to practice the sentence patterns.
Step VI: Summary
Aims: Enable the students to do the exercise and make a conclusion about "When and How to use likes / doesn't like / like /don't like."
Teacher's activities: Lead the students to discuss and discover the rules of "how to use likes / doesn't like /like / don't like."
Students' activities: Cooperate with their classmates and discover the rules.
Step VII: Exercise
Aims: To make sure students can use "Does he like ...? Does she like ...? Do they like ...? He / She doesn't like ...
Teacher's activities: Organize the students to do the exercise on 3a / 3b.
Students' activities: Do the exercise.
Step VIII: Pre-listening
Aims: To classify the words in 1a. Enable the students to learn more words about fruit and vegetables. And prepare for the listening.
Teacher's activities: Organize and help the students to classify the words and lean more words about fruit and vegetables.
Students' activities: Think and classify the words and try to add more words about fruit and vegetables.
Step IX: First listening.
Aims: Enable the students to do the listening practice and get the main idea.
Teacher's activities: Organize the students to do the listening practice.
Students' activities: Do the listening practice and get the main idea.
Step X: Second and third listening.
Aims: Enable the students to do the listening practice and get some detail information from the listening materials.
Teacher's activities: Lead the students to do the listening practice and get some detail information.
Students' activities: Do the listening practice and get some detail information.
Step XI: Post listening
Aims: Do pairwork by using the target language and the information from the listening material.
Teacher's activities: Organize the students to do the pairwork.
Students' activities: Take part in the activity. And do the pairwork by using the target language.
Step XII: Speaking (Survey and report)
Aims: To make sure the students can use the target language to talk about their "likes and dislikes" freely.
Teacher's activities: Lead and organize the students to do the survey and give a report.
Students' activities: Make a survey and give a report.
Step XIII: Homework
Aims: Make sure the students can use the target language not only in spoken English but in written English.
Teacher's activities: Give the assignment to the students.
Students' activities: Finish the homework after class.
