人教版高中英语Unit 3 Travel Journal优秀教案教学设计

教学内容:人教2006版普通高中课程标准实验教科书第一册第三单元
教学目标:1.学生能说出世界上主要河流的名称及其发源地和入海口(如:Changjiang River,Huanghe,Nile,Amazon,Mississippi,Thames;Mekong)
2. 学生学到一些有关地理的单词和短语(journey down ; cycle along; from where it begins to where it ends;bike rides; river;valley; camp; altitude; waterfall; travel across;pass through ; plain; enter)
3. 学生通过阅读训练,提高对文章信息的理解能力; 4. 学生懂得如何做好旅行前的准备工作并能够把自己旅行中的见闻介绍给大家。
教学重点 1. 谈论世界大河,学会有关地理的单词和短语
journey down ; cycle along; from where it begins to where it ends;bike rides; river;valley; camp; altitude; waterfall; travel across;pass through ; plain; enter
2. 通过阅读课文,学会运用推理,迁移等能力完成对课文的理解。
教学难点:谈论旅行前的准备工作及
教学方式 :通过合作、探究、互动、讨论等教学方式,培养学生自主学习的能力,与人合作、沟通的能力及获得和处理信息的能力
教学过程 :
一、创设情境
二、1找到自己手中的世界地图说出世界上比较有名的河流(Changjiang River,Huanghe,Nile,Amazon,Mississippi,Thames;Mekong),设置问题,引发学生想象并谈论。
(1) What are the names of some famous rivers?
(2) Where do they begin and end?
(3) What countries do they flow through?
(4) What role does a river play in people’s life?
2.导入新课: (pre-reading)???
1) Would you like to travel along a river to appreciate its scenery?
2) If so ,what preparations should you make??
(这部分以“头脑风暴”形式,说出沿江旅行所应该做的准备工作。)

Learn about the followings:              Take the followings:
Features of a river?                  ID card
The situation of geography along the river      passport
Where to start the journey?              money
Decide on the route                  a book of maps
The relevant information?
二、学生活动,探究课文内容
1.翻开自己手中的中国地图,并找到我们要研究的大河Mekong
1)There are many rivers which flow through many countries,name some of them.(Nile,Amazon,Mekong…)
2)Which country does Mekong flow through? Look at the map of the Mekong River and point out the countries it flows through. (China,Laos, Thailand,Cambodia,Burma Vietnam)????
3)Would you like to travel down the Mekong with another two students ?Ok ,let’s go.
2. Reading
1).Now we are going to listen to the tape and? read the text JOUNEY DOWN THE MEKONG),and then do the T or F exercises.(听力练习)
a)Wang Kun is a high school student
b)Both Dao Wei and Yu Hang are Dai and they grew up in eastern Sichuan? province.
c)The source of Mekong is in Qinghai province.
d)Finally Wang Kun agreed with his sister to cycle with her.
e)They found a few atlas and books about Mekong River in bookshops
f)Mekong River begins at a glacier on a Qinghai moutain,whose water there is clear but not cold.
2) Fast reading: Next we are going to read aloud the and then answer some questions.
a)Who are Wang Kun and Wang Wei?(考查对文章表层信息的理解)
b) What was their dream?(考查文章中语言知识)
c) Who are Dao Wei and Yu Hang?(考查利用推理对文章信息的理解)
d)Where is the source of the Mekong River and which sea it enters?(考查利用文章信息进行迁移应用的能力)
e)What can you see when you travel along the Mekong ?
f)Is it a difficult journey to cycle along the Mekong?(考查语言知识)3). Careful reading:
When we read the text,we can find Wang Wei and Wang Kun always have different attitudes about the trip .An attitude is what a person thinks about something. Make lists of Wang Wei’s and Wang Kun’s similar and different attitudes about the trip. 本部分为pair work, 两人合作并做出回答。

讨论交流 Who do you think was right about the trip?Why
学生四人一组,谈论自己的想法和看法。在交流中统一认识,由其中一人向全班汇报讨论结果。如其他组同学不同意或有异议,相互间可展开辩论。
三、真实运用语言:We have got the general meaning of the passage,now what dou you know about the Mekong ?Can you talk about the big river?
四、本部分内容要求学生独立完成,达到复述的目的。 Introduce Mekong River to your tourists as a guide.
学习总结本部分为这节课的小结,由教师给出结论。
When you go on a journey independently ,you’d better make sufficient preparations,which can not only help you learn a lot but also avoid some difficulty you may run into .Besides ,when you are on the journey , it’s acceptable to observe things around you and try to introduce what you see and what you hear.
五、作业学生个人独立完成。
1.Write a passage to introduce Mekong River
Sample:
Mekong River begins at a glacier on a Tibetan mountain.At first ,the river is small and the water begins to move quickly. It becomes rapids as it passes through deep valleys,traveling ...
Search the Internet or go to library for more information about the preparations work before a journey.
