【目的】老师亲切的话语,拉近师生距离,创造良好轻松的课堂氛围,激发学生倾听的意识与习惯。 2. 师生同唱:《My small cat》 【目的】通过一首轻松的英文歌曲,创造课堂的英语学习氛围,让学生走进快乐的英语王国。 3. 实物导入(Smiling)Miss Gong hope you will be happy every day! Now, let’s play a game. I have a box, please touch the things in it and guess what they are ? 老师取出一个大盒子,里面装着一双自己穿的北京绣花鞋以及一双儿子小时候穿的婴儿小白皮鞋,让学生猜猜是什么?然后配以一定的象声词,拿出绣花鞋展示给大家看;接着再取出小婴儿鞋作对比:The embroidered shoes are small and the baby shoes are big.以此复习small和big两个形容词。 【目的】盒子的应用是为了激发童趣,让学生产生兴趣。那双绣花鞋是学生都认识的、曾经给他们带来欢乐的一双鞋,再加上婴儿鞋的大小强烈对比,给学生一定的视觉冲击力,把学生的注意力都引到课堂上来,随即引出旧词进行复习,接着导入新课。
Step2: 新课呈现与操练(Presentation & practice)(15minutes) 1.Learn “bigger \smaller”. 师:The embroidered shoes are bigger than the baby shoes ,and the baby shoes are smaller than the embroidered shoes.(同时板书重点词汇,比较级后缀ger/er用红色标注,突出其变化形式。)Teach “bigger \smaller”.——领读、拼读、师向学生展示词卡,学生快速地依次地读词。 【目的】 在刚才的实物导入过程中,由形容词原形的复习自然过渡到形容词比较级的学习,呈现新的语言点,让学生在真实的情景中体会理解比较级的意义和用法。
2. Introduce “Jim” . T: From the last lesson, we know that Wu Yifan and Mike went to buy new shoes. And what are they going to do? Ss: They are going to go hiking. T: Yes, they are going hiking on Saturday with their friends. Can you guess who is coming? …Yes, he is Jim. Now let’s learn something about Jim. Please look at the picture. Jim and John are talking.(引出对话教学) Jim : Hi , John. I like eating hot dogs. John: Haha …How heavy are you? Jim : I am 52 kilograms. John: You are heavier than me.(板书heavier) 【目的】联系上一课时的教学内容,创设情境学习新词新句,达到在情境中通过对话教单词,做到“词不离句,句不离境”。
3. Learn “heavier /thinner ”. (1)领读heavier,拼读、齐读、个别检查读,有重点地提问接受能力相对弱的学生,帮助他们掌握发音。 对话继续: Jim : How heavy are you? John : I am 46 kilograms. I’m thinner than you. 板书thinner,同法教学thinner。 (2)听本课的对话录音,然后全班跟读、分角色跟读,个别跟读。 (3)Pair work A: How heavy are you? B: I am _____ kilograms. A: You are heavier / thinner than me.(板书该对话) 【目的】有关体重的单词学习结束后,让学生先听对话录音并跟读,在保证一定的语言输入之后再进行输出表演,既可以锻炼听力、模仿语音语调,还可以趁热打铁,让学生在语境中学习,起到巩固运用、学以致用的目的。
4.Learn“stronger ”. (1)师: Listen , Sarah is talking to Zhang Peng . Sarah: Zhang Peng, please help me! Zhang: What’s the matter? Sarah: My bag is soooo heavy. Zhang: Let me help you. I am stronger than you. Teach “stronger ”并板书stronger. (2)Pair work A: How heavy are you, * * * ? B: I am _____ kilograms. A: I am stronger than you. / You are stronger than me. 教师先让学生同桌操练一下以上句型,然后分别请几对胖瘦区别明显的学生到前面来表演该对话。 【目的】创设情境,把课文的语言环境细化,为的是学生能更好地理解重点词的含义和用法。Pair work的设计,是为了让学生再次复习巩固和运用本节课的重要语言,突出重点;同时又是为了让学生能灵活运用书上的You are heavier than me.这句话,突破难点。
