初中英语优秀教学设计Unit 6 I’m watching TV教学设计

摘要:This unit is about the action happening at the specific time .If someone wants to describe the action ,he (she) should use the Present Progressive Tense. This period of teaching that is designed with a few true pictures and movies about the Dragon Boat Festival by the teacher is quiet necessary.
创新点:Show the students’ short passages in class and the use of the evaluation with the CAI.

Content: Section B 2a---2c
Teaching goals:
Knowledge goal: The sentence structure -------be doing sth
Ability goal:  Learn about how to grasp the important information of  the stories(TV report) when reading.
Emotion goal: Love one’s own homeland and her culture
Focus on: Reading strategy-----how to grasp the important information of the story
Teaching methods: Global reading method; Summary report ;group cooperation; evaluation
Teaching Aid : CAI
Analysis of the teaching material: Unit 6 for Grade Seven in the last term is mainly about the Present Progressive Tense. This unit designs some context to guide the students into it. Section B 2b is the reading material with the stories (TV report) in specific time. This TV report tells what the people are doing in the two families in different places(Shenzhen and Now York) at the same time when people in China spend the Dragon Boat Festival . What the people are doing at the special time can help the students comprehend the Present Progressive Tense.  
Analysis of the students: The students in Grade Seven have read some short passages about stories .But the students haven’t grasped the correct strategy about them. So during this teaching period, the teacher should guide them to use the correct reading method. The students should scan and skim the material to get the mainly information first ,then they will  study the details .So if  the teachers and students want to know whether they get the main information, one of the best methods is to rewrite the story using the simple sentences by themselves. To supplement each other, their own words and expressions can help them comprehend the original reading material .Reading the story first, looking for the main information secondly, and then rewriting the story at last can form the correct reading habits for the teachers and the students.
Teaching procedures:
Prepare: Divide the students into several groups. Show them the evaluation chart .The teacher and students will give each group some marks according to the progress and performance in each procedure.
(视频一:电子屏幕显示即将使用的评价表,在课堂教学所进行每一步结束时,教师和学生会对每小组的进步和表现进行量化评价。评价表使用电子Excel表格,具有自动求和功能。在课堂教学结束时,可以看出每小组的最后得分。)

Step 4. Sum up.
Students use the phrases in 2C to write a short passage according to the TV report.
(视频八:投影学生的缩写短文。将学生学习小组推荐出的缩写短文投影在电子大屏幕上,学生朗读自己的写作,其他同学对学生作文是否用简洁的句子写出了故事的梗概进行评价。)
(The third evaluation time: How many points do your group get? 教师根据各小组推荐的缩写短文以及朗读情况给出各小组在这一环节赢得的分数。)
Step 5. Extend.
Suppose it is the Dragon Boat Festival today , The students are at home. Make a telephone call to their classmates and ask: “What are you doing now?” “What are your family doing now?”
(给学生3-4分钟准备,每名学生可以在小组内或小组外假定一至两名学生通电话询问。之后,每小组抽出一对对话者自由在班级表演展示。对表演对话的效果,老师和其他学生给出公正的评价。)
(The fourth evaluation time: How many points do your group get?各小组对自己的表现和表演给出分数。)
Step 6.Conclude:
1.Do you know how to read a story (TV report)?When you read a story, what general information must you get?
2.How many points do your group get totally?
(视频九:将各小组的最后得分在电子屏幕上展示出来,激励学生要积极参与课堂、独立思考、合作学习并不断进步。)
Teaching reflection:
1.在每个教学环节结束时,通过自评、互评和教师评价等评价方式的运用,有效地激励着学生积极参与课堂。既有合作也有竞争地小组式学习方式,为学生在自主探究的学习过程中完成语言交际的操练任务提供了平台。但是,师生还需要共同探索和完善更加合理和更加科学的评价办法,从而正确地判断学生在课堂中的表现。
2.阅读策略的运用有利于学生抓住故事性短文中的主要信息。整体阅读法训练,能够培养学生在阅读时抓主题句、找关键词的良好习惯。但是,为了充分使用教材资源,还需要学生最大量地吸收课文中的有用词语和句子。

Step 1: Lead in
What time is it?(视频二:屏幕显示钟表,师生互动用英语读出时间。)
What is he doing at 9:00 a.m ?(视频三:屏幕显示人物动作,师生互动用英语说出他在干什么。)
What day is it?(视频四:屏幕显示1—3个节日情景画面,生生互动找出中国的传统节日。)
After that, open their books and talk about the time in 2a with their partners. Each group has a student to report like this:“In Beijing, It is 8 o’clock in the morning . At the same time, It is 9 o’clock a,m in Tokyo.”
( The first evaluation time : How many points do your group get?各小组根据自己在这一环节中的表现和成绩,自评分数。)
Step 2:Warm up
Learn about the traditional festival-----the Boat Dragon Festival.
(视频五:根据端午节画面,师生互动、生生互动用英语谈论人们在庆祝端午节时所做的事情。提供以下短语:the Dragon Boat Festival; boat races; making zongzi; on TV; at home)
Step 3:Read
1.Students read the passage globally. Fill in the chart blow

(视频六:显示上表,便于学生填完后,在屏幕上显示答案。)
(The second evaluation time: How many points do your group get?在阅读填表过程中,教师巡视指导,各小组长完成自己的表格之后,到其他组交叉检查学生个人所填写的表格是否完整,是否正确,并给出受检小组在这一环节中赢得的分数。推荐一名学生全班汇报表格中的答案。教师对学生给出的答案进行公开核对。)
2.Read again, answer the questions about the passage.
(1)Where is Zhu Hui from?
(2)Where is Zhu Hui living now?
(3)When it is 9:00 o’clock in Beijing  , what time is it in New York?
(4)What day is it today in China according to the TV report?
(5)Where are Zhu Hui’s family ?

3. Students: Match the verbs in column A with the words in column B in 2C.
Teacher: Sum up the TV report using the words in 2C.
