1. 能激发学生在今后日常生活中用所学的英语表达来谈论自己喜欢的明星.

2. 通过几个任务对不同的人的描述,培养学生细心观察的好习惯.

Step1. Revision

1. Brainstorm: Teacher shows some words and useful sentences and ask Ss to say the  words

2. Pairwork: Teacher shows some pictures and ask Ss to describe these persons simply.

B: She has long black hair./She is (of)... ...

A: What does he look like?

B: He has... .../He is (of)... ...

A: What do they look like?

B: They have... .../ They are(of)... ...

1. Show the students the picture in 1a on page 44, then ask them to finish it.

    组织学生有效合作学习的操作要点：教师要避免在组织学生合作学习时存在的误区和学生在合作学习中的不合作表现，需特别注意对以下环节的把握：1、建构合理的合作学习小组。合作学习对小组成员的构成是有一定要求的，而不是几个学生的随意组合。教师对此应给予足够的重视，在仔细观察、调查的基础上，综合分析学生的个性、成绩、能力、思维特点等多个方面，进行合理的分组。分组之后，要注意收集小组成员的“磨合”信息，并酌情做出调整；2、建立一套有序的合作常规。注意培养学生良好的合作习惯，这些习惯包括：独立思考，积极参与，踊跃发言，认真倾听，始终关注任务，而不远离主题，明确个人分工和职责，遵守规则；培训指导学生的合作技能，这些技能包括：倾听、说明、求助、反思、自控、帮助、支持、说服、建议、协调；关注扶持弱势学生，布置任务时照顾到弱势学生；在组内形成主动扶持差生的氛围；及时提供指导和帮助；3、营造宽松的学习环境；4、提供合理的合作学习时间；5、选择适当的合作学习时机；6、合理地设计合作任务；7、合理调控合作过程，加强学习指导；8、给学生提供交流的机会；9、教师充分地倾听学生；10、采用多样化的评价方式；11、发现问题，寻求典型。在学生合作学习的过程中，教师要到各组巡回，了解情况，发现存在的问题，及时予以解决；收集学生的观点、意见，使下一步的教学胸中有数，有典型事例，在全班加以评价、提示、推广。
