SuperKids English Book 5: Unit 4 Activity A73  A75  A72-79

2、Teaching aim and demand
Using Ability task : Students can talk about School rooms and actions.
A.Basic Demands:
Vocabulary: classroom   playground    lunchroom   gym   office    talking to the principal   doing gymnastics
             eating lunch  looking at magazine  taking a test
Sentences: What were you doing …?
          I was talking to the principal.
B. Revision
What should we do now?
Let’s line up, then let’s go outside . OK.
Teaching difficulties: “Where’s Toni? I think she’s in the classroom.
4、Teaching aids
Tape recorder, photos, word cards...

二、课堂教学程序
Step 1 warming—up
a.     Greeting.
b.    Show pictures and let’s make a sentence about each pictures: e.g. (We’re)going to …(tomorrow)
Step 2 Presentation
1.      T: Today, we are going to talk about our school,
(Teacher teaches : Picture Cards 41---45 ) , Where are we now?
We’re going to talk about what we do at school. What are you doing now? (Picture Cards 46---50 )
2.  Ss try to answer.
3.  Learn the new vocabularies :
classroom   playground    lunchroom   gym   office
talking to the principal   doing gymnastics  eating lunch
looking at magazine  taking a test
a. Read together.
b. High voice and low voice.
c. Read one by one.
d.    Bingo game.
e.      Hide and seek.
f.      Listen and number
Step 3 Practice
(1) Use the new words to make sentences.
T: Where is … ?                   Where were you?
S1:I think heshe’s in the... .          I was in the… .
(2) T: What were you doing?     I was( talking to the principal.)

looking at magazine  taking a test)
(3) Practicing Games:
a. Read one by one.
b. Translation .
Step4 Listen to the tape.
(1) Listen to the cassette, point and say.
(2) Listen and repeat.
(3) Listen and Number.
Step 5 Home work
(1)  Listen to the tape, repeat the text.
(2) Write the ten new words 5 times.
(3)  Do the exercise in Activity Book.( p30AB)

Teaching content:
1、Review

2. Review the sentence stuctures:
Teaching task:
Students can talk about School rooms and actions.
Students can read the text and finish the exercise in book.
Step1 Warming –up:
(1)             Review the words
a. Read together.
b. Look at the picture, say the word.
c. Bingo Game.
d. Missing Game.
Step2 Practice:
Step3 Learn the text.
a.     Listen to the tape about the story.
b.    Listen explain and repeat.
c.      Read together.
d.    Read in roles in four a group.
Step4   Chant
Hey, Sandy
Hey, Sandy.  Hey, Sandy.  Hey, Sandy. Where were you?
I was in the lunchroom.  I was in the lunchroom.
What were you doing?   I was eating lunch.

Step 5 Practice
Do activity in page36 Say it!
a.     Learn the new words:
go to the beach     play volleyball    write postcard
call home   go on the Ferris wheel   get some cotton candy
b.    Do the dialogue for examples:
A: What should we do now?
B: Let’s go to the beach then play volleyball.
A: OK!
Step 6 Group work
Do dialogue in pairs and show the dialogue.
Step 7 Home work
(1) Recite the new words and the text.

(2) Make 3—5 sentences with the new words and the main structures.
(3) Do A82—83 on the book.

Step 2 Present Read it!
1.     Check the homework---- The exercises in page37, students answer.
2.     Learn some phonics:
a.     Teach the pronunciation of “l” “r”, give the words for exampe:
“l” :Lisa   look   line up
“r”:  robot   run     rice
b. List lots of examples for practicing.
3.     Listen. Write “l” “r”. Read. ( Page38-B-A86)
4.     Listen. Write. Number. ( Page38-C-A87)
Step 3 Present Practice it!
1.     Do exercise A: Read Circle “T or F”
2.     Give the instructions.
3.     Ss do in four a group.
4.     Ss do the writing part.
Step 4: Home work
Write the new words, each for 5 times.
a.     Recite the new words and the text.
b.    Make a role play.
c.      Finish the exercise in Activity Book.

{ Period four  1226}
Teaching content:
1、Review
Vocabulary: classroom   playground    lunchroom   gym   office    talking to the principal   doing gymnastics
             eating lunch  looking at magazine  taking a test
The sentence stuctures:

Students finish the exercise in Activity Book.

Teaching content:
1. Review the main points of this unit5
2. Do English Coaching Paper.
Step1 Warming—up
     Show the PPT or choose the pictures to describe the things:
Step2 Let’s has a dictation again.
