六年级下册英语Unit10 Tomorrow will be rainy教案导学案
Unit10 Tomorrow will be rainy
Period 1
Teaching aims:
1.    Foster students’ communities.
2.    Listen and say the new words: hate, argue, weatherforecast
3.    Understand words: thunderstorm, laugh, just;.
4.    Talk about weather with the sentence “ Tomorrow will be…”

Teaching emphasis:
1. Master new words and phrases.
2. Use the sentence: Tomorrow will be …

Teaching difficulties:
Master the new words,phrases and sentence

Teaching tools:
Computer, pictures

Teaching methods:
TPR teaching methods, direct method.

Teaching steps:
Step 1 Warming up
1.    Greetings.
2.    Sing a song: How’s the weather?
3.    a game Quick response
To show the pictures of Unit 9 and make students say the words out as quickly as possible.

Step 2 Presentation
1 Make students watch TV and learn new word: argue, hate, weatherforcast.
2 Listen and imitate Part B.
3 Pair work. Make students read the words in pairs.

Step 3 Practice
A game: Building block
S1: Weather forecast
S2: Listen to the weather forecast

Step 4 Consolidation
A game: Weather forecast
Ask students to make weather forecast.

Step 5 Assignment
1. Write the words in Part B.( Five times for each one. )
2. Make preparation. Prepare Part A.

Blackboard design:
Unit 10 Tomorrow will be rainy

Teaching aims:
1.    Make students help with each other.
2.    Understand and retell the text in Part A.
3.    Master the sentence “ Sb wanted to …”.

Teaching emphasis:
1.    Listen and say the text.
2.    Revise words and sentences.

Teaching difficulties:
Understand and act out the text in Part A.

Teaching tools:
Pictures, computer, word cards, tape

Teaching methods:
Direct method, games, TPR teaching method


Teaching steps:
Step 1 Warming up
1.    Greetings.
T: Class begins.
T: Good morning.
Ss: Good morning.
T: Glad to meet you.
Ss: Glad to meet you too.
T: How are you?
Ss: I’m fine, thanks.
2.    A game: Flash card
Teacher shows pictures quickly, and make students put up hands and say out the words on them.
3.    Ask and answer
T: What did you want to do?
Ss: I wanted to…

Step 2 Presentation and drill
1.    T make students read the text by themselves and think about the questions in Part C.
2.    Finish Part C. Write the correct form of the verbs in the brackets.
3.    Listen and say the text in Part A.

Step 3 Practice
1.    A game: The lucky box
Teacher prepares a box and names it “ Lucky box”. Put some pieces of paper with sentences on them in it. Ask students choose one and read it out. If he/ she can read out, he/ she will gain one point for his/ her own side.
2.    Act the text by themselves in pairs.
3.    Ask two pairs to the front and play roles.

Step 4 Consolidation
1.    Free talk. Ask students make up dialogues with the sentences “ I wanted to …” “ sb wanted to…”
2.    Feedback
3.    Do exercises.

Step 5 Assignment
Recite the text in Part A.
Make up dialogues with partners,
Unit 10 Tomorrow will be rainy
    What did you want to do?
I wanted to…

3. Master the new words: argue, hate, forecast

Teaching emphasis:
Enable the Ss to use the words and sentences correctly.

Teaching difficulties:
Make students make weather forecast

Teaching tools:
Tape, computer.

Teaching methods:
Task teaching method, Audio-linguistic method.

Teaching steps:
Step 1 Warming up
1. Greetings.
2. Read Part A together.

Step 2 Presentation and drill
a)    T makes students show their homework.
b)    Talk about weather in groups.
c)    Finish Part E.

Step 3 Practice
Predict the weather in the next week 4 a group and record.
Step 4 Consolidation
1.Free talk. Make students make weather forecast.
2.Evaluation.
3.Homework. Record the weather in the next week.

Blackboard design:

Sunny windy cloudy rainy snowy
