”。由于可以看出,只要教师稍稍动动脑筋,这些枯燥的动物词汇就长出了“手”和“脚”,成为同学熟悉的图像了。
(二)丰富的想象是落实英语词汇形象化教学的保证
26个英文字母组成了不计其数的英文单词,如何让这些字母能够通过其外型来形象地表达词汇的意思呢?下面笔者以五官词汇教学为例,进行详细介绍。
以往教学五官词汇时,笔者一般采取以下的教学方法,请看下面的教学片断:
片断一:
T touches her face.Look! This is my face.
Ss touch their faces.Face↗,face↘.
T draws a face and writes down the word“face”on the blackboard.
T:Touch your face.
Ss touch their faces.
T touches her eye:Look! This is my eye.
Ss learn to say“eye”.
T touches one eye:One eye.
Ss touches one of their eyes:One eye.
T touches two eyes.Two eyes.
Ss touches their eyes.Two eyes.
T draws an eye and writes down the word“eye”on the blackboard.
T teaches“nose,ear,mouth”in the same way.

以这样的方式教学,同学虽然也进行了五官单词的认读,但当同学看到五官的单词时,却有些手足无措,无法识别出这些词汇,同学认读的正确率只有51.4%。
后来,笔者尝试用形象化教学法,将单词变形,使之与将要学习的五官形状相近,调整后的教学片断如下:
