【预习案】
一、知识链接:
1.There are about eighty thousand different plants in the world that people can eat.
世界上大约有八万种不同的人们可以食用的植物。
本句中的that people can eat是定语从句,修饰eighty thousand different plants,that 是关系代词,引导定语从句,可以指人,也可以指物,当定语从句所修饰的名词指人时可以用who,如:Do you know the tall man who/that is standing over there?(你认识正站在那边的那个高个子的男人吗?)
2.What would happen to us if there were no plants?如果没有了植物我们会怎么样?
happen是不及物动词,意为“发生,碰巧”,常用来表示“偶然发生”。常用于下列句式:
happen to do sth. 碰巧做某事       sth.happen(s) to sb.某人发生了某事
I happened to see him at the school gate yesterday.

探究点1. There are about eighty thousand different plants in the world that people can eat. 句中that people can eat是定语从句修饰名词plants.引导定语从句的引导词有that,who,which等:请理解下列句子e.g.I like the present that you gave me.
e.g.This is the most interesting book that I’ve ever read.
e.g.Do you know the student who is wearing glasses?
探究点2.But half of the world’s food comes from only three plants: rice, corn and wheat.  
句中 half of +可数名词复数 +谓语动词复数; half of + 不可数名词+谓语动词单数
“…中的一半”数与名词的数保持一致。
Half of  his money was spent on books.    Half of the books here are in English.
Half of the students in our class like math.
all of  “ 全部的 ” a quarter of   “四分之一的”
探究点3. Doctors use medicine to help sick people.
①use…to do sth. “用…来做…”e.g.We use our feet and legs to walk.(翻译)_____
     e.g.She uses the bottle to keep water. (翻译)____________________
②sick =  ill   adj.   “病的”.注意:sick    可作表语/定语,ill 只能作_________
e.g.His mother was sick/ill in bed.    e.g.  Please look after the sick girl.
探究点4.  Tables , chairs and beds are furniture. So is your desk.
So  + be / 助动词/情态动词 +主语 。 表示“______。”He is a good student. So is she.

当天的功课当天复习:德国心理学家艾宾浩斯的“遗忘曲线”告诉我们:人类的记忆进程是不均衡的,在记忆的开始阶段,以往会发生的很快,且以往的较多,以后会逐渐放慢。因此当天的功课当天复习,在理解的基础上进行记忆是英语学习最基本的方法。
