Step1 Greetings and Revision
Greet the class and help the students to revise what they have learned in Unit4. Ask them to look at the screen and revise the Directed Speech and Reported Speech .Ask some students to change some sentences into Reported Speech.
Step2 Presentation
The students look at the screen. Show them a picture and ask: What will happen tomorrow? The students answer: It will be sunny tomorrow and they will have a trip tomorrow. Then teach them to make a sentence with if : They will have a trip if it is sunny tomorrow. Give the Ss another example. Then explain to the Ss . Make sure the Ss can understand. Ask them to pay attention to the tense in the clause.The Ss practice some sentences with the teacher using if . Help them to get the structure If……. I’ll/you’ll……
Step3 Practice and pairwork
Show the Ss some other pictures and help them to talk about the consequences using If you do…., you’ll……. Then give the Ss a few minutes to talk about the pictures on the screen in pairs. Walk around the classroom when the Ss are working. At last check some pairs. Make sure they can use if

The Ss open the books and turn to page34. Look at 1a. Ask the Ss to match the statements with responses. Underline the phrases let sb.in and have a great time. Then play the tape and the Ss listen carefully. They can check their answers if they are right. Then listen to the tape again.
Step5 1c Pairwork
Ask the Ss to look at the pictures above and then make conversations using the structure If you do, you’ll………. The Ss work in pairs. Walk around and give help if necessary. Then check some pairs.
Step6 Consolidation
The Ss do some exercises about the conditional adverbial clause on the screen.
