教材 分析
The attributive clause is an important point as well as a difficult point in the English grammar, especially the relative pronouns and adverbs. It is difficult for students to distinguish and grasp them.
学情 分析
The object of this period is the students of Grade Nine. Students are interested in the visual image of the props. They don’t like “chalk and talk” teaching model, and hope to participate in the class activities.
教学目标
1. Aims of knowledge: Understand the use of the relative pronouns and adverbs and differences between them.
2. Aims of ability: Be able to describe the familiar people and things using the attributive clause.
3. Aims of Emotion: Attract students’ attention and make them interested in English class.

教学过程1. Lead-in:
(1)Present the attributive clause by doing a matching game.
设计意图:通过分解及合并两句话的形式让学生对定语从句有个大致的了解,并且能够激发他们的兴趣。
(2)Analysis the relative and clause
2. Presentation
(1) 分析关系代词that 和which引导的定语从句
a. 让学生合并两个句子并从中找出规律. (ppt展示).
(设计意图:采用任务型教学,让学生在完成任务过程中学会基础知识。)
This is a dream. The dream will never come true.
----This is the dream which/that will never come true. (作主语)
This is the card. I’ve just received the card.
----This is the card (which/that) I’ve just received.(作宾语)
小结:先行词是物的情况下,两者都可以引导,在句中作主语或宾语。作宾语时可以省略。(找学生回答)
b. 介绍that 和which的不同用法。(ppt展示)
小结:除非限定性定语从句和介词提前的情况,that不错.
(2)分析关系代词that、who、whom、whose的用法。
a. 教学who 、that的区别
出示例句,让学生自己观察,分析,总结。
(设计意图:让学生通过观察讨论得到结论,避免教师一言堂现象,体现学生是学习的主体。)
b. 教学who、whom的区别。(口语中经常用who代替whom,但介词提前时则不可。)
c. whose的用法。(表所属关系)
(3) Exercise: 用适当的关系代词填空
(设计意图:随堂检查,采用形成性评价促进学生发展。)
(4)出示图片,让学生用定语从句来描述。
(设计意图:把所学知识运用到实际生活中,发展学生的综合语言运用能力。)c. Exercise. (检查学生的掌握情况)。
(5)介绍关系副词where、when、why引导的定语从句
出示例句,引导学生回答:关系副词=介词+which
(6)Exercise: 用关系副词填空。
3. Practice:
ppt展示六副动物的图片,让学生用定语从句描述。
(设计意图:动物是学生感兴趣的话题,学生可以很容易的投入到活动中,还可以帮助他们复习以前学过的有关动物的单词。)
4. Consolidate
挑战高难度。
5. Homework
用定语从句描述你熟悉的一个人。
