《This dog can help him .》 是新标准英语一年级起点第九册 Module 7 Unit 1 的教学内容。全册教材共有两个模块主讲情态动词 can 和can’t 的用法。Module 6 侧重于第一、二人称能力的表述,本课为第七模块第一课时,主要讲述了三个小朋友正在看一个关于导盲犬能帮助盲人的电视节目。课文侧重于第三人称的表述,编排意图在于承接Module 6 的内容又为第七模块第二单元中第三人称过去能力的表述作了铺垫。五年级的学生好奇心强、思维敏捷,能对事物进行分析后发表自己独特的见解。而且经过几年的英语学习,五年级学生已掌握了一系列的英语语言学习知识,具备了一定的听、说、读、写能力及一定的方法,有良好的英语学习习惯,能在教师的引导下进行自主交流并且拥有的跨文化意识和学习外国文化的积极性。因此,我把本课的重点设定为:使学生能在图片的帮助下用can /can’t 来表述第三人称“他”的能力。使学生对“他”能做的事与不能做的事能准确认读并区分,能解。
1、( CAI: TV show)T : You’ve done a very good job . Here’s a TV show for you . It’s a TV show about dogs . Let’s enjoy the TV show . (导入主题,同时通过多次重复词组 TV show 来加深学生对这一旧知识的印象)
2、(CA I: 盲人与狗)T: Look at this pict ure . This woman can’t see . So she is blind . (Teach “blind”) And look at this dog . It’s special . (Teach “special”) What can this dog do ? 帮学生回答:This dog can help the blind man . → This dog can help him . (自然过渡,增加课堂吸引力。教授新单词,游戏的加入,提升课堂热度。)
3、教授重点句子: In England , many blind people have a special dog . This dog can help him .(采用补全句子的形式,由点到面,帮助学生掌握好本课课文的重点句子。为后面的课文学习做伏笔。)
