The summer holidays are coming

I. Teaching aims and demands:

New words and expressions
India, theUnited States,Germany,New Zealand,Brazil,Thailand,Indonesia, get together, places of interest.

Learn the usage of “want to/would like to/hope to/wish to/plan to”
Talk about holiday plans.
II. Teaching important and difficult points:

Master how to talk about holiday plans by using “want/would like/hope/wish/plan to”

Example:

I want to go to Cuba/Henan

=would like to

I wish to visit some places of interest.

=hop to

I plan to get together with my family.

III. Teaching procedure:

Step 1 Lead in: 复习导入

教师活动：Talk about the seasons with students.

Which season do you like best?

Why do you like winter?

Tell the students the teacher likes summer best because the summer holidays are coming.

学生活动：自由回答老师的问题

Step2 Presentation

1) Present the new words on country

教师活动：利用图片呈现国家单词

Get the students to say which countries it is. Then teach the new words about country.

学生活动：根据教师的图片呈现学生猜读国家单词。（整体或个别回答）

词汇巩固：

教师活动：教师通过投影Show a map of the world in 2. let students find out the countries on the map.

学生活动：自主完成，逐个回答核对答案。

2) Present 1a

教师活动：Get the students to listen to1a and fill out the form.

Present the phrases: plan to do…, hope to do…, would like to do…, want to do…, wish to do…, places of interest

学生活动：听录音完成下列表格, 写在作业本上。Volunteer to give the answers.

学生以四人为一组，谈论自己今年暑假的旅行计划，然后选出代表，介绍本组组员的旅行计划。

评价活动：比一比那组的计划最精彩（使用的不同表达最多，计划内容最丰富）
