教师出示形容词的单词卡片,女同学说出老师出示卡片的相应的单词,男同学则马上说出它的反义词,然后交换。比一比,看谁说的又快又准。
(设计意图:复习形容词类的单词。)
Step 3 Presentation
1.教学单词younger, older, taller, shorter, longer
(1)教学单词younger, older
(利用课件出示图片)
T:Look, This is Sarah, this is Miss White. Sarah is 12 years old, Miss White is 30 years old. Sarah is young, she is younger than Miss White. Miss White is old, she is older than Sarah.
教师板书:young----younger old----older,告知学生younger是young的比较级,older----old的比较级。当两者进行比较时就是比较级。一般情况下,比较级通常是在单词的末尾加上er,er 发[ə]的音。最后,教师带读单词younger和older。并让学生用升降调练习单词的发音,男生读younger,女生读older,然后交换练习。
(2)教学单词taller, shorter
(用课件出示图片)
T: Look at the picture, They are comparing their height. Zhang Peng is taller than John, John is shorter than Zhang Peng.
教师板书:tall----taller short----shorter, 教师边做动作边带读单词,接着教师做动作,男生说出该动作的单词,女生说出该单词的比较级,然后交换练习。
(3) 教学单词longer
(用课件出示图片)
T:Today, Chen jie is wearing a dress, Amy is wearing a skirt. Can you see the difference?(引导学生回答)
T:Yes, The dress of Chen jie is long, and Amy's skirt is short. Chen's dress is longer than Amy's skirt.
教师板书:long----longer ,教师边做动作边带读:long, long, longer… 接着,教师说long,学生说longer。
2. 教学A. Let’s learn
(1)播放A. Let’s learn部分的动画,让学生静听。
(2)再次播放动画,让学生边听边跟读。
(3)让学生分组模仿动画中的对话。
Step 4 Practice
1.Look and write:
出示本课时学习的四会单词:younger, older, taller, shorter, longer,让学生拿出英语本练习书写,每个写一遍。
(设计意图:培养学生正确书写单词的能力。)
2.Make a comparison
让学生分小组用本课时所学的词汇带入对话中进行对话练习,然后请部分同学进行展示。
如:A: How old are you? B:I’m… years old.
A: How tall are you? B: I’m …metres.
A:How heavy are you? B: I’m… kilogram.
(设计意图:培养学生听说的能力。)
