【教学设计说明】:本节课是Unit 6的第一个课时，教师要通过恰当的引入让学生对这一难点语法有个初步的认识，所以设计时先从学生以前学过的名词的定语入手，然后循序渐进让学生先理解并运用以that 、who 作关系代词的定语从句。

【Knowledge and ability goals】:

1．Key Vocabulary ：prefer, lyric， gentle

I like music that I can sing along with. What about you ?

I prefer music that has great lyrics.

【Strategy goals】:

According to designing some tasks, encourage the students use the sentences with the relative clauses to express preferences .

Let’s enjoy music. It always brings us happiness.

【Teaching procedures and ways】：

Step Ⅰ Warming up

Have a free talk with Ss.(和学生进行温馨对话，让学生感到老师的关注，老师的亲和。)

Step Ⅱ Lead-in

Take some flowers to the classroom ,and let Ss describe the flowers ,such as beautiful / colorful … flowers .Then change the opposites of flowers , And describe them like flowers in the vase / on the desk … next T : I like flowers that are in the vase .Write the words on the blackboard in order to make Ss understand . Let Ss make similar sentences like this .

(以旧带新，引入新课，通过对学生的逐一操练，让学生在轻松的环境中接受新知识——定语从句，这时学生就不会感到茫然。)

T: Give another words on the Bb , Let Ss make sentences with Attributive Clause easily . (在黑板上写上movies / animals 让学生模仿说句子加深印象，学生自由发挥,通过在不同的环节根据学生自己对生活经验和自己的兴趣爱好入手，设计不同的任务，循序渐

进，将语法教学巧妙结合在任务型教学中。)

Step Ⅲ Presentation 1a

Show the pictures on the screen and talk about “What kind of music do you prefer ?”let Ss understand the sentences :I like music that has great lyrics ./ that I can dance to ./ that I can sing along with ./… Ss learn some new words, and talk about the music.

Step Ⅳ Listening practice: 1b

Play the tape for Ss to listen and finish 1b .Ss isten and check the music Tony and Betty like .First listen then when they hear the correct answer ,they’ll tell me stop and check their answers .

(在学生会说的基础上训练学生听的能力，听说结合。)

Step Ⅴ Presentation

Show pictures and teach “Relative clauses with who” Ss : Look at the pictures and learn “Relative clauses with who”

(通过句子，让学生归纳，比较that和who 引导的定语从句，培养自己的观察能力。)

Step Ⅵ Practice

What kind of boys / girls do they prefer ? Have a competition among Ss .

(通过贴近学生实际生活的交流，提高学生口语能力，培养学生学习兴趣，同时学生相互之间进行了思想教育。)
