I、Teaching analysis

本单元通过Amy 和Sam 在Daming家中做客的场景,来继续学习如何去描述现在正在发生的事情以及句型Do you want some noodles? Yes, please./ No, thank you. 的用语,并通过一个Rhyme的学习,来培养学生的语言节奏感。

II、Teaching aims

1、能听、读、说making dumplings/cooking vegetables,并了解其含义;

2、能灵活运用重点句型,并清楚其运用的场合和语气;

(1) What are you doing ? I’m making dumplings./ I’m cooking vegetables.

(2) Do you want some ?  Yes , please !/ No thank you .

3.能模仿本文对话,并能在一定的语境中运用所学语言进行交际;

4.培养学生的注意力和观察力,激发学生积极思维,挖掘学生运用语言的创造能力。

III、Key points

(1) What are you doing ? I’m making dumplings./ I’m cooking vegetables.

Step1 Warming up

1、Greetings.

2、Sing a song.

1、Making a dialogue with the students.

T:Good job!Now answer my questions. Do you want some---?

Ss:Yes,please. /No,thank you.(学生根据图片回答问题)

T: Look,what is he doing?

Ss:He is making noodles.

T:Yes.He is making dumplings.Today I bring two new food,do you want to know what are they?

Ss:Yes!

2、(1)New word: dumpling

T:OK,the first food is dumpling(饺子).(全班读、个别读、小组读)

引导生问:What are you doing?

T:I’m making dumplings.

(2)New word: vegetable

T: The second food is vegetable(蔬菜). (教读vegetable)

Ss:What are you doing?

T:I’m cooking vegetables. (男女分开读,小组读)

T: I’m making dumplings. I’m cooking vegetables. What is the difference between make and cook?

Step3 Learning the text

T:Oh,I’m hungry. Are you hungry?

Ss:Yes!I’m hungry.

Tet’s go to Daming’s house.Today,he and his mother prepare some nice food for his friends. Let’s have a look,what food are they doing?Are you ready?

Ss:Yes!

1、  Listen to the radio,then answer the questions:

What is Daming doing? What is Daming’s mother doing?

2、  Read the text.

3、  Practice the dialogue.

Step4 Practice

T:Oh,we have no food to eat,let’s make another food,OK?

Ss:Ok!

T:What about cakes?

Ss:OK/Good!

T:Now I will teach you how to make a cake.

Step5 Summing up

1、  Play a game.

T:It’s time to play a food game. Please look at the rules.

2、  Review the sentences

T:Stop here.Now,let’s see what have we learnt today. Let’s read them together.

Step6 Homework

1、Copy new words twice.

2、Practice the dialogue.

3、Summarize all the food what you know.

T:OK,so much for today. Goodbye,everyone!

教学反思:

本课的教学目的是“让学生学会使用现在进行时谈论与食物相关的事情”。 根据新的课程标准,英语教学的首要目标是培养学生综合运用语言的能力。因此,我在课堂上设计有关的场景让学生有机会进行模拟交际,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,培养学生听,读,说,理解和运用英语的能力;采用分组练习,培养孩子们的团队精神和探索精神。在本课教学中,我根据学生的年龄特点和英语掌握情况,设计了一些活动,取得了较好的成效。在热身和复习环节中,我运用食物卡片,复习了有关食物的单词,并呈现了“Do you want some…?Yes, please. No, thank you. ” 句型,通过小组问答,师生对话,俩俩对话等方式,帮助学生回忆并巩固已学知识。

当然在本课教学中,也存在着一些不足和遗憾之处,引发我的思考。如区分make”和“cook”时,可以使用图片进行对比的方法。这种形象的图片法可以更加深他们对这两个动词的印象,帮助学生更好地理解和区分它们。
