Lesson 1
Teaching objectives:
1.Master the 4-skill words : lake, river , flower , grass , path , forest ; learn to say the word “sky, cloud , mountain” and “ nature park”.
2. Ss can describe something with “ There is/ are … in the … .
3.Guide Ss to protect environment .
Main points and difficult points:
1. Ss can write the 4-skill words correctly .
2.Mster the sentences and can use them .
Teaching procedures
Step 1 Warm-up / Review
1. Greetings
2. Free talk
---Who’s your Chinese teacher ?---What’s she like?
---Do have your own room now? --- What’s it like?
Guide Ss to describe the classroom with “ There is / are … in the classroom .”
3. Divide the groups for race .
---What’s on the black board ? ( There are 4 trees on the black board . )
Trees for 4 groups . ( Give flowers to the good group .)
Step 2 Presentation
1. T simple draws a circle over the tree : What’s over the trees ?
--There is a sun over the trees .
---Is there a sun outside the classroom ? where is it ?
Present “sky” and learn to say. (cry, fly )
---What can you see in the sky, too ?
Guide to say : There is /are … in the sky .
2. Present “ cloud” and learn to say . ( house , mouse )
T ask S1 to draw a big blue cloud. Then CAI shows some gray clouds : What color are these clouds ? Why they are gray? ( It will rain .)
3. Give the group who had the correct answer a flower .
Present “ flower” and learn to say . ( now , brown )
What color of flowers do you like?
--You like flowers, what do flowers like? ---water
What likes water, too? Present “grass” and learn to say. (glass, class , bath)
Grass+ flowers +trees = plants.
4. Plants need water, where does the water come from?
Present “river” “lake” and learn to say .
a. What’s the difference?
b. CAI shows some famous lakes in China, Guide Ss to talk about the rivers in China. e.g.: There is West Lake in China.
c. CAI: What’s the longest river? / biggest lake ?
5. Guessing: T describe something, Ss guess. Review sky, cloud, river… then present the new word.
6. Learn to say the new word “forest”, Guide Ss to describe the forest with “ There is / are … in the forest .
7.Where can you see the forest ? Guide Ss to say:
There is a forest in the mountain. Learn to say mountain . Then learn to say the sentences.
---Are there any mountains in China?
---What’s the mountain like?
8. Present: There is a forest in the nature park . Learn to say the word “ nature”.
---Is there a nature park in Haiyan?
CAI shows the picture of Nanbei Lake Nature Park: Let’s go to the nature park.
9. CAI : What can you see in the nature park ?
Present: path
Learn to say the word “ path” and ask Ss to guess .
Step 3 Practice
1. Talk about a beautiful picture in the nature park with “There is /are …”
2. Let’s play games in the nature park.
a. Compare 4 pictures, What’s the difference?
b. Look at the pictures and remember: What’s it like?
2. Task in the park
---There is a treasure in the nature park, do you want to get it ?
a.Listen and finish a passage : Where is the treasure (宝藏) ?
There is a treasure in the nature park, do you want to get it ? Where is the treasure? Ok, please follow me. Look, there is a _________ in front of you, it’s small but long. Let’s go ahead. First, there is a ___________, there are many trees in the forest. Then there is a ________ near the path , it’s big and clean .There is a _______near the forest , it’s high , you must climb the mountain .Can you see the __________? After grass there is a long_________, you can cross (穿过)the river . There are many colourful ________ near the river, they are so beautiful. There is a house behind the flowers. The treasure is in the house.
b. Read the passage and find the treasure.
c. Present the 2 pictures: Which one do you like? Why? (dirty air / clean air )
d. Present the real “ treasure”:
It is everyone's duty to protect environment .
维护环境,人人有责!
Step4 Home work
Design your own nature park in groups with the sentences “ There is /are … in the nature park .” Then introduce it to other groups.

Lesson 2
Teaching objectives:
Objective of knowledge:
1、to be able to use the pattern: “Is there…? Yes, there is. / No, there isn’t. ” ask and answer freely.
2、to be able to recognize, listen and read the word: city
Objective of ability: to develop Ss’ ability of listening, speaking, reading and acting.
Objective of emotion: to cultivate Ss’ consciousness of loving the nature.

Teaching procedures
Step1 Warm-up / Revision
1、Let’s sing: The Panda
2、T and Ss greeting each other.
T: I’m from Ruian city, Zhejiang, China. Where are you from?
Ss: I’m from….
教读-- …city
3、Brain storm:
先出示不同的图片让Ss说:There is a…in the …. There are …in the….再让同学自由发挥.
Step 2 Presentation and practice
1、New sentences presentation
1)Show a picture for a while and T: Is there a …? (bird—in the tree, river-- in front of the school, football—on the play ground, a TV-- in the living room, a Hongqiao Road Primoary School --in Ruian city, forest –in the nature park…)
Guide Ss to answer with “Yes, there is.” and “No, there isn’t.”
教读两个答句
2)CAI出示:There is a … in the nature park. Is there a … in the nature park?
教读—— 将句子分词组进行教授。
小组活动操练:(1)小小指挥家:Ss work in 4,1 point 3 say the sentences.
(2)最价拍档:
S1先选出所给单词中的5张,然后拿着让其他人用“Is there a…? ”提问,S1用“Yes, there is./ No, there isn’t.”来回答并出示词卡。
(3)眼急口快:快速出示PPT,让同学进行连环问答,其他同学作好记录并汇报。

4) Look, listen and choose.
出示一个flash,并给出题目选项,让同学在纸上作答。

There is a boat on the river. There is a house near the river. Near the house there is a big tree in the tree there is a bird. Is there a cat in the tree? No, there isn’t. But there is one under the tree. Is there a dog in the picture? Yes, there is.
问题:
(1) Is there a river in the picture?

1)T先出现自身的favorite nature park 并向同学介绍,然后出示自身关于nature park的小文章和同学一起读一读

My favorite nature park is beautiful. The sky is blue. The clouds are white. There is a lake. The water in the lake is clean. There is a forest in the nature park, In the forest there are flowers, trees and grass. There are many birds in the trees. How nice it is. I like it very much.
2)what’s your favorite nature park?
让同学自身两人用以下句型相互交流关于自身的favorite nature park。
A: My favorite nature park is beautiful.
B: Is there … …the …?
A: Yes, there is. / No, there isn’t.
B: ….
2、出示一些人类破坏环境的不良行为的图片,再让同学说一说这样做好不好。
PPT: 热爱大自然,维护环境人人有责。
Step 4 Add-activities
