一、教学内容：
Learn about other cultures.
Understand  and  say sign、 trash、 flowers、water、Earth、tree.
Understand  and  do some actions about Earth day.
二、 教学目标：
1.     Language knowledge
   1) To know the new words: sign、 trash、 flowers、water、Earth、tree.
   2) To know and be able to use the following sentence patterns:
A)Look at the beautiful flowers.
B)  Yes!They’re really nice!
2. Language skills
  1) To learn some new words and use them.
  2) To learn some sentence patterns and use them in communication.
3.德育渗透
1)通过文化课的学习，使得学生深层地了解地球环保这一重要主题, 让他们懂得地球环保不是一个和几个方面的事情, 而是随时随地, 方方面面, 彼此互相联系和沟通,并且影响着我们人类的生活的大问题。
2)通过对于口令的操作,使同学们的环保意识增强, 认识到环境污染的严重危害性和从自身做起保护环境的必要性。

四、教学过程
Step 1：Warm up  
1、Free talk :How’s the weather today?/What day is it today?/ What month is it?
T:Today is sunny.Flowers are beautiful.Trees are green.Birds are cute.Are you happy?
【设计意图：自然谈话调动学习兴趣，此处埋伏了本课单词“flowers”“ tree”使教学前后呼应，浑然一体。】
S:Yes.
2、Leading-in:
T:（画笑脸）I’m happy ,too.First HuJuan wants to tell us a story .let’s listen to her.
【学生讲中文故事《地球爷爷生病了》】
【设计意图：利用故事情境激起学生得环保意识，进行文化知识的渗透，扩展学生的视野，同时对新课教学起到铺垫作用】
T:This story tell us something about Earth Day.(板书Earth Day)
【用红色的笔写“th”，醒目，提醒学生注意读音，用无声的方法提醒学生，在潜移默化中开始突破难点】
Step 2：Dialog/Vocabulary
1. Look and say .
Task 1. 师带读Earth
T：Earth Day is on April twenty-second.
2.Look and read.
Task 2.T: Look at the beautiful flowers.

T:Boys and girls open your books.Listen and point.(师板书)
Tractice the dialog with your partner.
【设计意图：教师通过引导学生读,使学生进一步了解和记忆课文，然后鼓励他们自演对话，让所学的知识转变成为真实交际的能力。学生在小组的练习活动中熟悉课文对话，并加入到表演对话的行列中，发挥自己的创造力，在交际中运用语言】
T: Listen to the tape again.listen and say.
3. Vocabulary
1)flowers → tree → trash → sign → water
【设计意图：由flowers引入“This is a tree,not a flower.过渡到tree，由扔花的包装纸从而引出trashcan并且过渡到trash，从地上垃圾过渡到“请不要随地乱扔垃圾”的标志sign，从拣垃圾到“Wash your hands”从而引出water。每个新词的呈现在注重自然贴切、由旧推新的同时，也在类似中求"变化"，引出活动注重梯度设计，在保持学生高亢学习热情的过程中更要提升学生的学习能力】
Step3：Actions
1)Introduce the five actions relating to Earth Day.

T:.You are very hardworking .Our classroom is clean.Smell the flowers.
T:Oh !Look!Smell the tree,let’s plant a tree.Who can help me?

T:When we water the tree ,wash our hands.Don’t forget to turn off the tap.

【设计意图：通过观看一些标志而达到警醒同学,让同学们从小就培养一种环保意识, 维护环境生态的平衡。同时为孩子们制作标志牌做了一个示范。】
Homework :Make a sign
T:At last,next Sunday is Earth Day.We must love Our Earth.Let’s make a sign for our school!
【设计意图：学习语文化课的目的是培养学生的环保意识。在本课的最后为学生布置了为了我们的学校制作标志牌，旨在引导学表达自己是如何关注地球的，以培养学生良好的行为习惯。】
