一、 教学目标与要求
　　1． 知识与能力目标
　　熟练掌握单词与短语： hungry, thirsty, drink(drank)
　　happy, sad, angry, tired, bored
　　熟练掌握重点语句： She was hungry/thirsty.
　　She drank some water.
　　Zara was happy.
　　使学生能够灵活运用happy, sad, hungry, thirsty等单词表达某人在一定情况下的感受。此外，一般过去时的运用也是本课的重点。
　　2． 情感态度目标
　　鼓励学生合作学习、协同工作的精神。
　　二、 课前准备
　　光盘、课件、教学卡片等
　　三、 教学过程
　　Step 1 Warming up
　　Sing a song If you’re happy…
　　Step 2 Presentation and practice
　　1. Present the words about feeling.
　　Ask the students to read some sentences using a happy, sad, bored, angry or tired voice. The other students guess the moods.
　　2. Use CD-ROM to show the passage. Answer the question: What was the weather like yesterday in this passage?
　　Ask the students to listen to the first part and fill in the blanks.
　　Yesterday, it was . Zara go out. She was . She helped her mum .
　　Then repeat this part after the CD-ROM.
　　3. Ask the students to listen to the second part and choose the correct answer.
　　What happened after that?

Emphasize the two words hungry and thirsty. Ask the students to find the things Zara did when she was hungry and thirsty. And underline the sentences. Teach the new word drank.

　　Repeat this part after the CD-ROM.

　　4. Ask the students to listen to the third part. Answer the question: Why was Zara happy at last?

　　5. Repeat the whole passage after the CD-ROM. Read in pairs.

　　6. Retell the passage. Use Yesterday…, After that… and Then….

　　7. Describe four pictures about the passage. Then write down some sentences on the Activity Books.

　　Step 3 Consolidation and extension

　　1. Let the students to say something. Using the words about feeling to express the feeling.

　　2. How can you make yourself happy? Discuss and give us some advice.

　　Step 4 Summary

　　Guide the students to recall what they learnt in this class. Review the important words and sentences again.

　　Homework

　　1. Listen to the tape and try to recite the passage.

　　2. Copy the text.
