教材分析

本单元的教学内容是使学生掌握一些职业的英语表达并就此展开相关讨论,能够简单介绍人物职业,会询问他人的工作情况并给出相应的回答。了解英语中职业名称对于不同性别的差异。运用到的重点句型有:What does your mother/father do? Where does she/he work? How does she/he go to work?在教学中结合学生实际情况,运用学生已学本册教材第一单元内容,以“How does he go to work?”等相关知识点为“How does she/he go to work?”的教学做铺垫,还可以适当的进行拓展延伸。

学情分析

本节课是小学英语六年级上册的教学内容,孩子们的基础知识掌握的还可以,但是对于以前学过的一部分句型已经遗忘了,本校六年级学生上课活跃,回答问题积极,对英语的学习的积极性较高,接受快。只有个别同学,基础稍微差一点,但也非常的认真。

教学目标

通过图片、班班通和老师的帮助,能听、说、读、写单词:singer, writer, TV reporter, actor, actress, artist并能在情境中使用句子What does he /she do?He/she is a/an….进行问答。

教学重点和难点

本课的重点是使学生掌握一些职业的英语表达如:What does your mother do? Where does she work? How does she go to work?以及掌握四会词汇singer, writer, TV reporter, actor, actress, artist.本课的难点是让学生在任务活动中熟练运用不同句型进行交流。

教学过程

Step1:Warm-up/Review

1、Free-talk

T: What day is it today? What do you do on Sundays? What do you like to do?

2、Review the words : teacher, doctor, nurse, farmer, driver, worker

Step2:Presentation/Practice

1、Learn the new sentence:What does she/ he do?

PPT出示一些学生熟悉的职业,教师问What does she/ he do?学生答。

T: What does she/he do?

S: He is a doctor/ farmer/nurse/ teacher/ driver/policeman/ worker/ basketball player…

(设计意图:在复习旧单词的同时,引出新句型:“What does she/ he do?”先是教师问,学生答,让学生感知新句型,意会其意思。一方面是巩固新句型,另一方面则是进一步复习巩固了一些职业名称。)

2、Learn the new words:singer,actor, actress, TV reporter,  writer, artist

(1)Learn “singer”①T:I am a teacher. I like English, I like to teach students, I am an English teacher.

Now read and guess: What does he do?

PPT出示一段描述:He likes to sing, he always sings songs. What does he do?

He is a singer.引出第一个单词singer的教学.

②Read after the VCD and read one by one.

③Practice:

T: Zhou Jie lun is my favourite singer. Who is your favourite singer?

S:…is my favourite singer.

(2)Learn “actor”

①再看PPT周杰伦的图片,Picture 1 , Zhou Jie lun is singing. Picture 2 He is acting. So he is an actor, too.引出actor的教学。强调an,同时举一些前面用an的单词:an apple, an orange, an elephant, an ice-cream, an umbrella等等,让学生进一步掌握冠词an的用法。

(3)Learn“actress”

    在操练actor的最后,出示一位女演员赵薇的照片,问学生Is she an actor?一部分学生会说Yes,一部分细心的学生会说No.教师回答:No, she is an actress.Actor is a man or a boy, actress is a woman or a girl.

(4)Learn“TV reporter”

PPT出示一些女演员的照片,T:What does she do? Ss:She is an actress.

多次强调“an”到最后出示的女演员是大家熟悉的李湘,学生都知道她既是一个演员,又是一个电视台记者,引出TV reporter的教学。

(5)Practice: singer, actor, actress, TV reporter

PPT出示学生熟悉的以上四种职业的人物,并用句型What does she/he do?

He/She is a/ an---做问答练习。

(6)Learn “artist” “writer”

在同一张幻灯片上在复习完前4个单词的同时,出示后2个新单词“artist” “writer”,教学方法与教学前面的单词相同。

(7)Pair work 互相就6个职业进行问答What does she/he do? He/She is a/ an---

(8)引导学生说出自己将来的理想职业,引出“What are you going to be?I am going to be...”的句型进行操练。

介绍自己家庭里各个成员的爱好、职业或理想的职业。

教学反思

本节课主要教授一些关于职业的单词,主要singer、actor、actress 、TV reporter、writer、artist这六个单词,但是由于这几个单词比较生疏,所以学生在拼写和朗读方面将会有一定困难,所以我抓住这一难点,在本课时把重心放在拼读方面,比如我利用以前所学习过的或者出现过的一些单词,比如说work,farm,teach等,在这些单词上加上一些字母变成另外的单词,这样方便学生来记忆单词。在最后的操练中利用一些相关单词让学生来猜测这个人的职业,这样不但复习了以前所学的单词,也帮助学生记忆了今天的新授内容。另外我在黑板上帮助学生拼写,并且强调了an,a的区别,让学生加深记忆,但是虽然我在本课时也说了关于an,a的运用法则,但是学生对于语法始终似懂非懂。

    当然,本课中也存在不少的缺点,比如说在最后的运用,单词拼写操练不够多,学生对于go和goes,运用时常不当,语法是个难点,我对于语法的教学始终保有很大的困惑,六年级的学生是否需要理解语法,如何正确的让学生理解。
