教学设计的基本理念：根据新课标，培养学生自主、合作、探究精神、突出语言运用能力培养的理念而设计。

一、教材分析

（一）教材的地位和作用

1、教材内容分析

本课时的教材内容主要是以问路和指路为主，问路和指路的常用语句及常用交通工具使用方式的听说读写。

2、教材的地位

本话题以问路、指路为主，贯穿交通规则、交通标志、交通设施等常识性知识，让学生在掌握“问路”这一功能用语时，学会遵守交通法则。

3、教材重点、难点

教材重点：

（1）重点词语：

bridge，along， turn，  meter，across from，

  on the corner of，       between…and…

（2）重点句型：

How can I get to…

Go along …turn left at the first street.

Could you tell me the way to…

Be careful!

Don’t play on the street.

教材难点：

让学生在掌握“问路”这一功能用语时，学会遵守交通法则。

（二）教学目标：

1、语言知识目标：

1）掌握并能灵活运用本单元出现的重点词汇

2）掌握问路和指路的重要句型

2、语言技能目标：

通过本课的学习，培养学生良好的“听、说、读、写”的技能，使学生能运用所学知识解决相关情景中的一些类似问题，并能结合所给任务，综合运用新旧知识解决问题，在此基础上鼓励学生大胆运用自己的语言基础能力。

3、情感目标：

1）激发并提高学生的学习兴趣，乐于接受新事物，勇于尝试体现课堂教学“主体者”的身份，积极主动参与教学各环节，成为学习的主人。

2）培养学生良好的问路方式，乐于运用英语知识解决问题、与人沟通。

二、教学策略(Teaching stratages)

本话题以问路、指路为主，贯穿交通规则、交通标志、交通设施等常识性知识，让学生在掌握“问路”这一功能用语时，学会遵守交通法则。教学内容与学生的生活紧密相关，能激起学生的兴趣，通过多媒体课件为学生创设更多的语言环境，激发学生主动参与的欲望。因而在课堂教学中巧妙运用教学艺术，适当安排小组讨论，使学生在轻松愉快的环境中实现更多的信息交流，让学生在做中学，在做中练，在做中巩固，从而有效地提高课堂教学效益，达到事半功倍的效果。

设计思路：复习(Revision)——导入(Lead in)——呈现（Presentation）——

操练(Practising)——巩固(Consolidation)。

三、学习策略(Learning stratages)

1）课前认真预习，利用网络收集有关如何问路、指路的信息，课后能及时巩固复习和运用。

2）上课勤思考、多动脑，掌握所学词汇，热情、积极、主动参与课堂上的各种活动。

四、教学过程：(Teaching Procedures)

StepⅠ Warming-up

1）T: I’ve a wonderful song, would you like to share it with me ?

（设计理念：课前播放一首欢快的英文歌曲，渲染课堂气氛，营造英语学习氛围，使学生很快进入角色）

2）复习上一话题中的主要内容。

用以下的句型进行小组对话：

A: What’s your home like?

B: I live in an apartment building.

A: I want to buy some books. Where should I go?

B: You should go to a bookstore.

…

Step Ⅱ  Free talk: Where do you want to go?

幻灯出示一些比较有代表性的城市图片，教师问学生：Where do you want to go?

（设计理念：用美丽的风景图片吸引学生的注意力，让学生在对美的欣赏中轻松地进入英语学习的氛围，促使学生形成对某个地点的向往，激起学生表达自己想去那里的欲望。

Step Ⅲ  Presentation

1) Lead in

T: Boys and girls, We know every one of us should go to school everyday, so how can you get to school? Now , look at the screen ,can you tell me what they are?

And guess how can I get to school?

（设计理念：用学生熟知的话题导入，能引起学生的共鸣，吸引学生主动参与，积极思索，学生纷纷举手说出了多媒体屏幕上展出的交通工具的名称。学生在猜测老师怎样到达学校的时候，就将有关的图片展示出来）

T: Do you know how I get to school? I go along Renmin Road （人民大道）and turn left at the first street. Go across the Renmin bridge（人民桥）.It’s about one hundred metres along on the right.

（设计理念：教师边讲，边显示出屏幕上的相关图片，并通过图片来进行单词、词组的教学，同时把这些词汇写在黑板上，带领学生朗读这些词汇）

2) Pair-work

(1) T: Now Let’s talk about the routes of going to school of you throught using the following sentences:

   A: Excuse me,how can I get to Haitai School?

   B: Go along../Go across…

(2) look at the picture of 1a and listen to the tape of 1a,and find out the place that the dialogue mentions.

(3) listen again and find out the important sentence structure and review the new words again.

1)  A: Excuse me, is there a..near here?

B: Yes. Go up…

2)  A: Excuse me,which is the way to bookstore/..?

B: Sorry,I don’t know.I’m new here.

A: Thank you all the same!

（设计理念：听录音并跟录音朗读，提高学生的模仿能力，培养学生沟通的能力，符合循序渐进的原理，操练对话提高学生的配合能力）

StepⅤ. Consolidation

(1) Devided into four groups to practice the sentences.

(2) Act out

(3) Do 1b, ask the students to draw the map and discribe.

（设计理念：学生以小组为单位，运用所学句型讨论如果要到达某个地点，该如何问路、指路，充分体现新课程自主探究、合作交流的学习方式，促使学生互相学习，互相帮助，发展合作精神。）

(4) drill

1) 出示2a的图片，让学生根据图片理解介词和介词短语的含义

2) 根据2a的内容填空，完成2b，核对答案。

3) 完成3，运用对话操练。

Step  Ⅵ  Project

(1) Draw a plan of your own school.Describe the position of each building with prepositions or prepositional phrases we have learnt.

(2) Let the students design a plan of his/her ideal school.Then let them ask and answer in pairs.

(3) Design a situation about a foreigner want to come to Haitai School,how can you help him/her?

（设计理念：通过教师教学方式的转变引导学生学习方式的转变，突出学生主体，让学生主动思维，发展修改，拓展视野，畅所欲言。）
