五、教学过程
1. Warm-up
(1) Show your hands, listen to the orders and do the actions.
eg. turn left turn right go straight
Where is east?
This is east. (Point at east.)
(2) Show a map; look at the picture answer teacher’s questions.
eg. Where is the cinema, please?
It’s next to the hospital.
2. Preview
Play the recorder, listen and fill in the blanks according to the tape.
3. Presentation
(1) Listen to the tape again, read after it.
(2) Read in groups, read in role. Make dialogue with classmates and teacher.
(3) Translate the dialogue by students sentence by sentence. Then point out the key points of each sentence.
(4) Read the dialogue again. Try to recite the dialogue.
(5) Show a map. How can Sarah get to the bookstore?
How can Sarah get to the park?
How can Sarah get to the hospital?
Look at the map, and then describe the line how can Sarah get to these places. Write the sentences on the exercise books.
eg. Turn right at the traffic lights, then go straight, it’s on the right.
Present the results, invite student to read their sentences.
4. Sum-up

5. Homework
