教师要抓住小学生的心理,针对学生好动、争强好胜、爱表演等特点,根据朗读材料的特点,积极运用情景、游戏、多媒体、奖励等手段。尽力让小学生保持对英语朗读的持续注意,还可开展形式多样的朗读,使学生乐于朗读。如在教学PEP BookⅣUnit 4 It’s warm today. Part B Let’s learn时,在教学过程中可以在新授单词时先采用听录音跟读,操练时采取开火车朗读(在开火车朗读的过程开展各组之间的竞赛),并且发现语音语调特别好的同学让其进行领读。在单词教学完毕后,可以为巩固操练所学单词句型教师出示自编的chant,如:
