教材 分析
本单元的教学目标是如何询问对方意见，如何提出建议，如何就别人的建议发表看法。本节课是第一课时，首先通过复习与本单元相关联Unit7 Would you mind turning down the music?, 从而引入新课内容Why don’t you get her a scarf ?。采用任务型教学法，通过竞赛等形式，充分调动学生的积极性，让学生自主掌握教学目标。
学情 分析
八年级的学生大多数基础较好，在教学中尤其要注意学习能力的培养；需要多教给学生学习的方法并将课文重点处理到位。学生的共同之处如下：大家都是接触新教材已一年多了，所以已经过了磨合适应期，学生对新教师，新教材都有一种新鲜感，也有初生牛犊不怕虎的冲劲，想利用学过的英语知识，说出流利而且准确的英语，教师要创造情景，提供话题式的设置最可以引起学生的共鸣。
教学目标
能力目标：让学生学会如何询问对方意见，如何提出建议，如何就别人的建议发表看法。
情感目标：培养学生学习英语的强烈兴趣，乐于参加各种活动的积极情感，善于合作，培养学生团结协作精神。
  
教学 重点和难点
教学重点
1、掌握询问对方意见的句型：
What shall I\we do …. ?
What shall I get my mom for her birthday ?
What \ how about doing…. ?
Why don’t you do ….. ?
Why not do ……?
2、掌握评价意见的句型 ：
That’s boring.
That’s too personal.
That’s a good idea.
That sounds good.
That’s not creative enough.
That’s not interesting enough.

教学反思
本单元教学主要采用小组合作讨论或表演的方式，培养学生的口头表达能力和听力。通过各种教学辅助手段，培养学生学习英语的兴趣以及在小组活动中积极与他人合作，相互帮助，共同完成学习任务。
本单元设计的亮点是设计学生表演的环节，让学生参与到教学中，便于和老师形成良性的互动。通过表演如何询问别人买什么礼物以及提出建议的合作学习，达到了了解、关心别人的目的，以此增进友谊，培养学生积极健康向上的良好兴趣。
