1、Knowledge aims:
(1) Be able to recognize the words: tall、short、old.
(2) Be able to recognize the new words: taller、shorter、older、younger、stronger、than.
(3) Be able to understand the text.
(4) Be able to say the sentences “____ is taller/shorter/older/younger/stronger than ____.”
2、Ability aims:
Be able to apply the sentences “____ is taller/shorter/older/younger/stronger than ____.” to compare and describe the differences between two people.
3、Moral aims:
(1) After the class, the students can understand if they do more exercises and refuse the junk food, they will be taller、stronger and more healthy.
(2) The students can find their differences between others, and can show themselves bravely.
(3) The students will keep being interested in English learning.

四、Teaching procedure
Step1 Warming up
1、Greetings
2、Introduce the assessment.
3、Sing a song 《Follow me》
T and students sing the song together, and then give one point to the best group to motivate the students.
Purpose: Through the warm greetings and the song, students can be active and sustain a good emotion. It is a good beginning of the class.
4、Game: I do & You guess
T does the actions, then the students should try to say out the adjectives as fast as they can.
Purpose: In this part, students review the adjectives quickly to make a foundation for the further learning.
Step2 Presentation
1、younger/older
T: Oh, look! It's Melody. Say "hello" to Melody , OK?
Ss: Hello, Miss Zeng.
T: Do you know how old I am? Let's see! It's 37! I'm young.
(drill the word "young")
T: Look! They are you! How old are you? Good, that boy, you please!
Boy: I'm 11.
T: 11? You are young. And you are younger than me!
(drill the word "younger"、"than")
T: So, we can say …
Ss: We are younger than Melody .
T: Now, look! Wow, a baby. It’s young. Are you younger than the baby?
Ss: No.
T: No, you are old. So we can say we are older than the baby.
