Teaching aims:

Aims on the knowledge

2. To enable students to understand the passage and retell it.

1. To improve the Ss’ ability of listening and speaking.

2. To encourage the Ss to communicate with each other actively.

3. To develop students’ good reading habits and improve their English reading speed and quality.

Aims on the Emotion

1. Arouse the students’ interest in learning English

2. Help the students learn to cooperate with their classmates and encourage the students to speak more English in class

3. Encourage them to develop positive attitudes towards making friends.

Teaching Key Point:

To enable students to understand the passage and retell it.

To enable students to understand new vocabularies .

Multimedia equipment,  tape recorder.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Warming up.

1. Greetings.

2. Free talk.

Step 2 Presentation

1. Show the photos of my friends to present the new words.

2. Learn the new words: hardworking, helpful, careful, polite, friendly, share her snacks.

Step 3 Reading

1.  Fast reading

On fast reading, finish this exercise.

1).Miss Fang is always hardworking. (  )

2).Alice is always angry. (  )

3).Kitty is always kind. (  )

Check the answers.

2. Listen to the tape and follow the tape.

3. Careful reading.

Fill in the chart.
