一、 教学内容分析:
本课为模块7第一单元内容,新单词多,信息量大。要求学生能听说Washington D. C. is the capital of the USA.和New York is in the east. /San Franciscois the west. 并初步运用于情景交际中。
T: Good afternoon, boys and girls. Ss: Good afternoon, Miss Qin.
T:“How are you?” Ss: “I’m fine, thank you.”
T: “What’s your name?” S1: “My name is…”
T:“What’s the weather like?” S2:“It’s ….”
2) Sing the song I’m the Music Man and do the actions together.
2、Lead-in 新课导入
老师拿出一架飞机问: “What’s this?” Ss:“It’s a plane.” 老师继续问:“Do you know where I am going to go?” 学生做答。然后引出:“I am going to go to New York.” 出示美国地图(标出east这个方位)引出课题:New York is in the east.
3、Learning and practicing
1) 先从课题引出重点单词east,板书生词。接着告诉学生:“New York is in the east of America.”引出America is also called the USA.学习生词also和call,并板书。操练句型,分组朗诵。然后告诉学生This is a map of America.再接着说America is a country,引出MODULE 7大标题Countries.
2) 接着出示第二幅美国地图,引出Washington D. C is in the east too.San Franciscois in the west. 同时再出示指南针教具来帮助学生加深印象。然后以开火车的方式操练这两个方位词。句子通过问答的方式来分组操练A: “ Where is New York?” B: “ It’s in the east.”同理操练其它两个城市。但强调the在east和west前面的读法不同。
4) T:Beijing is the capital of China. Do you know where the capital of theUSAis? Ss进行回应,老师带出Washington D.C. is the capital of America.进行大量快速操练,使学生迅速掌握。
5) 以chant的形式来总结重点句型,以拍手的形式来打节奏。

6) 先听一遍录音把其他生词板书后操练,接着跟读课文。
4、Using language.
出示中国地图和海南地图,引导学生用所学单词和新句型来描述。如:指到北京时,学生用Beijing is the capital of China. 指到上海时,学生用Shanghai is in the east of China.
