1. 写作任务

课前演讲是一种效果很好的学习英语的方式，也是同学之间交流英语学习心得、展示英语水平的平台。本次的课前演讲内容要围绕志愿者活动展开。要求：（1）题目自拟。（2）字数100词左右。（3）句子连贯，文章通顺。

Volunteers in our life

Hello, everyone!

It's my great honor to give a speech before class. My topic is Volunteers in our life. What is the meaning of the word volunteer? It is a noun. It means a person who offers to do something without be paid ①. In fact, the word has another meaning. It is a verb. It means to give or offer one's help without being paid.

After you know the meanings of the word, I have a question to ask you. Who is the greatest Chinese volunteer in your mind? Please think over it ②. We may have the same answer. Most of us can agree that Lei Feng is the greatest volunteer in China. Volunteer is today Lei Feng. Though we students are young and don't have much money, but ③ we can still learn from Lei Feng. We can do many things just like Lei Feng. Now there are million of ④ volunteers in China. Let's begin to do something together. I believe the more volunteers, the better life.

a. 本单元的写作指导：

本单元通过几篇文章向我们介绍了有关志愿者的活动，让我们了解了帮助他人的意义、重要性和如何在日常生活中帮助他人，相信我们都能因此而体会到帮助他人的乐趣，并乐于在今后帮助他人。志愿者活动是当今的热门话题，可供大家探讨的内容有很多方面。写作题目可能从记叙志愿活动，议论志愿活动的意义，通知组织活动的事项等等角度出题。但其中有一些共通的词语与句式我们可以借鉴。下面让我们来一同分析一下这样的词语与句式吧，将其恰当地运用到我们的文章当中，会让我们的文章增色不少。

可用短语：clean up, give out, set up, think up, fix up, put up, hand out, help out, at once等。

重要句式：

(1) Let's cheer him up.

(2) We need to come up with a plan.

(3) Being a volunteer is great.

(4) These three students all volunteer their time to help other people.

(5) Don't put it off. Become a volunteer today.

(6) I'd like to join the school volunteer project, but I'm not sure what I should do.

(7) You could give out food at a food bank.

(8) I'll help clean up the city parks.

(9)I'd like to thank you for sending money to "Animal Helpers", an organization set up to help disabled people.

b. 本体裁的写作指导：

本次写作要求写一篇英语演讲。我们知道，英语演讲是以英语为载体与他人分享演讲者对某个问题的看法与经验。演讲中最重要的就是打动并说服听众。本次的写作内容涉及英语课前演讲，相信同学们对于课前演讲这样的题目并不陌生。它是老师为我们同学搭建的交流英语学习心得、展示英语水平的平台。通过它同学们可以增加自信，提高口语表达能力；丰富知识，提高自主学习能力；也可以起到激发学习兴趣，活跃课堂气氛的作用。

在英语演讲中，我们应注意以下的事项：

1）对所要演讲的题目有充分的了解。在我们掌握大量的信息后，重要的是恰当地处理信息。因此，要考虑课前演讲的对象。课前演讲的对象是和我们一样的学生，他们的水平和我们相近，那我们演讲的语言就要简单明了，最好将所学的知识运用到演讲之中，做到学以致用。这样易于接受，也能使演讲者和听众通过演讲这种方式巩固知识和提高听说及口语水平。

2）不同于其他场合的演讲，本文是要求写一篇在同学们面前进行的演讲，因此听众和演讲者之间都是熟悉的，可以也应该省去自我介绍的时间，这样就给演讲者留下了更多的展现自己才华的空间。同时，课前演讲的总时间有限，演讲者要对时间有充分的把握，这样也会限制文章的长度。

3）演讲的内容要简单易懂，要点清楚。这样，听众才能把握演讲的重点，并从中捕获信息。因此，在演讲前要反复地演练文稿，根据演练的内容，对文稿中的词语、句式做进一步地调整，做到语言简练、优美、生动，有感染力，以便使讲演者的手势、姿态、语气和文稿等等方面能够达到最佳的配合状态。另外，为了能让演讲生动，在文稿中列举一些具体的事例会起到事半功倍的效果。

4）演讲者如果能够针对自己的演讲内容在适当的地方提出问题，让大家一同回答，那这样听众的注意力会更加集中。

5）另外，在教室中进行演讲的时候，演讲者要做到满怀自信的，因为那时，演讲者才是班级中最闪亮的主角。

c. 本文的评价与提高建议：

上面这篇演讲稿，层次清晰，语言流畅，句式变化多样，所写内容围绕志愿者的相关内容而展开，文稿内容符合习作要求和演讲的特点。尤其是开头两句，表达了作者的心情并介绍了题目，符合演讲的特点。对于volunteer一词含义的介绍，也让人感到很有趣，但略显繁琐，如能缩写一下会更好。另外，在文稿中和听众有所交流，这样的互动环节让演讲生动起来。文稿中虽也有几处错误，但是我们认为瑕不掩玉。总体说来文章写得很成功。让我们来思考一下下面的问题，让文章变得完美吧！

商榷之处：

① 文稿的标题似乎不太扣题，应斟酌一下为好。

② 本句中的without是介词，后面应接be的-ing形式。

③ think over是动词和副词组成的词组，接代词时代词应放在两者中间。

④ though and but都有转折的作用，在一个具体的句子中，两个连词只能保留其中的一个。

⑤ 当million前面没有具体数字修饰，而表达“数以百万计的”意思时，要在后面加上-s, 再加上of。
